LG5: Why do people insist on POP?

Why do many people here insist on Gaga making pop music (specially for LG5)?I know the typical responses are, "because she is a popstar", or because "that is what we fell in love with". But none of these responses mean that Gaga can't do something else. I mean she already gave you what you paid for with the previous music. Now, you are not entitled to telling Gaga what to do. Plus, you already had 4 albums of pop music, is time for Gaga to do something else. She is one of the few artists that has the talent to do just about all kinds of music genres (and do them right). It would be a waste for Gaga's talent to just keep making pop. And if pop is the only type of music you like, then there are plenty of other artists still producing pop.

Condescending much? I get your contention in creating this thread. Why do you have to add in parts like sections I've bolded in your OP that serve no purpose to what you're saying other than insulting the reader? You're not entitled to tell others what they should feel towards the direction of Gaga's music. 

Naturally, her fanbase will crave/demand new Pop music from her. Putting out more Pop is not a waste of her talent. It's directly using it.

Because that's what we love her for. If I wanted a rocker I would listen a rocker. I'm fine with different genres influences but not full switch

Not sure if you lied, but you certainly avoided answering my questions.

That's a nice way of putting it. I would love to see her explore different genres - we all know she's capable of pretty much any genre if she puts her mind to it because she seems to be a natural musician.

I am just explaining why I think is wrong to keep expecting her to do pop all the time.

Pop doesn't have to be electronic. She could do catchy pop rock, fun r&b inspired pop music. It doesn't have to just be electro. I'd love for her to have a catchy fking pop record with all traditional instruments. I know she can do it and she might even redefine the pop standard like she did with Just Dance.

because shes a popstar and thats the reason why 99.99% of us stan her, i know you list it as an invalid reason in the OP but it is literally the biggest reason. What sort of thread... You're asking everyone who stanned her for pop music why we want her to make pop music..

Also, theatrical choreographed tours is one of Gaga's biggest strengths, it will be weird to say goodbye to that if she's going down the non-dance music route.

I think it's because Gaga has so much success in pop, the pop fans only think she can achieve the level of recognition she once did by doing pop and maintaining her pop image. I also think it's because a lot of kids these days have only grown up with pop music, or rather the dance stuff that's popular now, being such a huge focus in the mainstream. For the past 15 years or so, rarely anything other than that pop dance music has been getting recognition in media and the mainstream. The young fans don't realize the endless other possibilities there are in music and the kind of music that has been hugely successful before dance dominated everything. They know that Madonna dominated with pop music in the 80s but they aren't aware of how at the time, rock music was also huge and dominated radio and rockstars were so hugely successful in the 80s, more so some may argue than Madonna, it's just that in pop culture, Madonna was big, and it's what people remember and bring up all the time in pop culture, there is a whole other culture out there aside from pop culture, the music culture where rockstars are greatly revered and looked up to and admired. But like I said, pop culture these days only focus on the pop side of music. The fans don't understand music history and that an artist can be huge and build a legacy without always doing pop music and appearing on the pop charts, there is a rock chart, a country chart, etc etc. 

It's really about today's generation being brainwashed by pop culture and pop entertainment and how so much emphasis is only put on a few select people in pop music (The Rihannas, the Biebers, the One Directions, the Beyonces, the Britneys, the Katys, the popside of Gaga) rather than all of music as a whole.
