It was expounded by late period disco (1978-1980) and rebellious punk and new wave artists. After the collapse of disco in the early 1980s the sound of synth split and diffused into new genres: boogie (synth x r&b) , Italodisco (synth x Europop), new wave (synth x punk), house (synth x Chicago disco), techno (synth x industrial rock) and new romantic (synth x power pop). All these songs are analogue synth classics from the 1980s (listen to them imagining Gaga is singing!)
