Yep, same here!  It's sad that her own fans don't seem capable enough to wrap the idea around their brains that Gaga spends a lot of time with the people with whom she works on her albums.  The same occurred with DJWS with ARTPOP and with RedOne last year.  I specifically remember Gaga spent a couple of days with RedOne when she first began working on her album in early 2015.  Not sure why people are now jumping to conclusions.  Like, really, people?

This is just nonsense. 

They're working together. Gaga wants to get to know people before she makes an album with them. And by know I mean truly know, including getting to know their family. 

And Gaga parties with famous people because, I don't know if you're aware, she is a famous person. Judging her for that is just awful. You've no idea what it's like when you reach her level of fame. She's allowed to go clubbing like anyone else and unfortunately it won't and just simply can't be in the same clubs we go to. Not outside of New York. She was an outcast for so long in show business and now she is accepted and appreciated and making friends. Be happy for her! Because the truth is, she's in for the long haul and it's better to have friends in the business during your time in it than to be in the corner wearing a big hat to avoid conversation until it's time to leave. 

If Mark Ronson was gay you wouldn't mention this. But no of course, every straight man can't uphold a working relationship. It just has to be something more doesn't it? 

Gaga lived in Chicago with Paul to make ARTPOP. Her and Space Cowboy lived together on the road travelling the world together promoting her when she first broke. 

And to take Gaga for that much of a fool and say she's 'blindsided by wanting a hit record' is just insulting. She can smell a rat from miles away. She's been around them all her life. 

What you're seeing is Gaga finally coming to terms with her success and having fun. I think she would've felt too guilty to do so in the past. She's enjoying the fruit of her labour, having real fun and making music. I don't see your problem.

Funk is far from boring. All the greatest most celebrated pop stars actively incorporated funk sounds and sensibilities into their music. Michael Jackson, Prince, Bowie, hell even Madonna had a lot of funk inspired stuff in the 80's. That's why songs like Uptown Funk/Get Lucky were such massive, universal hits. Mark seems like a nice guy, and I actually don't get the vibe of something more going on. If I wasn't familiar with Gaga's usual M.O. - morphing into whoever she's currently inspired by, her deep friendships with her collaborators like Tony, DJWS, and Diane Warren etc. - then I'd probably suspect something just going off of the cutesy his and hers matching outfits and frequent pics of him exiting her apartment... but as we all know, that's just how she rolls. Also I don't think she'd be hanging out with him so blatantly if they were actually carrying on together. I think it's all innocently friendship & music related. She seems like she's in a good place, and this is actually the most upbeat I've ever seen her.

He just said that they've known since infants bcs they lived three blocks apart in NY. Their friendship must very strong now. They're working together, for god's sake. There's no space for assumptions, really. 

I tried to justify them hanging out, but we don't need to. Two people can be friends without wanting to be together.

I feel like the funky feel was a trend in pop music ("revival") like any other.

It's come and it's gone, so I hope Gaga doesn't revolve her entire album around it.

Pop music is a lot like fashion and she needs to go back on being AHEAD of it (like with TF, TFM and BTW) instead of being late to jump on trends (like with ARTPOP)

TF/TFM could also be considered throwback to 80s synthpop. She just had such a well polished modern production and good melodies that it made it more than a novelty. BTW was a straight up throwback except she incorporated a lot more 80's rock styles. A lot of her music references the past so I wouldn't be surprised she wants to delve into more disco/funk sounds. She clearly has the potential to make it sound futuristic and fresh (see Sexxx Dreams/Fashion ). She would never base an album around one whole genre (except maybe the jazz stuff) so don't fret. I'm just excited shes trying something different that so many other great artists in history have slayed at.
