You can continue to believe in your government's hasbara, but "it's a war", doesn't justify clear war crimes. 4 boys on the beach were blown to pieces in a daylight and no one was held responsible. Not to mention all the hospitals, schools and power plant. You cannot call something a war when you have homemade rockets vs. ground forces+navy+air force backed by the USA. Palestinians are dying almost every day there, but I'm not posting about it, otherwise 70% of World News will be just about that. Spare me from that lame defence, "look how others are bad too", that doesn't excuse ethnic cleansing and racism. Serbia was doing the similar thing in Kosovo and the USA bombed them because of that. And what do they do in Israel's case? Reward them with more weapons. oh and about "roof knocking" you brag about http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/the-humanitarian-myths-of_b_5777364.html "51 seconds between the knock on the roof & the destruction of the house two doors away? WTF? Who had time to get out?" That's not true. IDF stated that it was a sad mistake and the ones who did it were judged and they went to jail. Why are these terrorists groups putting their weapons in hospitals, schools and shooting FROM civilians homes? Please tell me. Answer that simple question. You have a long history of using biased sources that turn out to be incomplete or sometimes flat out wrong, and so has Times of Israel. There's nothing wrong with asking for a different source so we can try to sift out the truth of the story from the possible/probable bias.

Israel DOES warn! I don't care about the larger discussion in here, but I do wanna talk about this, since this argument always amuses me. First off, Palestinians in Gaza have nowhere to go. The "we warn people before we bomb their houses" argument is just designed to make Israel look better. People living in Gaza are kept imprisoned and their living conditions have long been criticized by several important organizations around the world. The "Isreal warns civilians" argument is an intentional cover-up of the problems in that area. Second of all, the "it's Hamas' fault" is also an extremely tiring and misleading argument. No one is pretending Hamas is doing a good job over there, but if you think mentioning Hamas firing harmless rockets into Isreal is going to make people forget that Israel is continuously expanding settlements (plus extremely alarming treatment of Palestinians in connection to that issue) and denying several basic rights to the people in Gaza then think again. Both parties are inviting the violence to intensify and Israel has consistently shown itself to be entirely uninterested in securing even a negotiation. It's just not that simple, so don't act like it is.

It's just not that simple, so don't act like it is. That's not true. IDF warns the civilians prior to the attacks and do let them move to another neighborhood. IDF gave a date and a time for some of the attacks. Gaza is not large but it isn't that small either. The fact IDF even needs to shoot innocent civilians homes is unfortunate but you mentioned "It's Hamas' fault" being a tiring argument. I'm sorry if it is but it's simply true. It's Hamas that are using their own people as human shield. It's Hamas that are shooting from schools and hiding weapons in hospitals. It's Hamas who are using these tricks to manipulate the world- and they do it successfully. As an Israeli person who knows what really happens in the army and lived here most of my life, I am telling you: IDF is an army with values. There was just a case a month ago about some soldier that shot a Palestinian terrorist when he was harmless and that soldier was criticized by every possible general in the army and went to jail. IDF delivers food, water and medical treatment in Gaza. Hamas does not care about the Palestinians. The "Hamas firing harmless rockets..." comment really just sums up the lack of knowledge you and alot of people have on this topic. Your wrong opinions are rooted in YOUR inability to understand that this is not simple. I clearly know it's not simple, trust me. Hamas are extremists who believe that you will die as a "shaid" if you kill a jew. No Israeli thinks he will become an hero by killing an innocent Palestinian and the ones who do are punished here. If I'd be the prime minister and I would have Hamas be Palestinian's representative in the negotiation, I'd leave the negotiation as well. You cannot make peace with terrorists. As I've said several times, I don't support the settlements but building settlements is not a justification for the violence that comes from the Palestinians. Jokes aside, I know two people who live in Israel who themselves mock the rocket argument. Isreal is one of the safest places in the world, especially for being "under constant attack" as people like you like to claim. Israel's version of the truth is delusional and hilarious. Netanyahu compared their rocket threat with Britain in World War II, I mean what more do you need. Close to 1500 rockets killed over 7000 people incl. civilians in Britain, when 2500 rockets killed 2 people in Israel. The obviously disproportionate reactionary ruin of Gaza is problematic to a lot of people, but not you apparently. Remember the notorious case of Avichay Adrae, military spokesperson for Israel, tweeting (in Arabic - isn't that interesting) that the Hamas rockets were embarrassingly ineffective when in English he kept pretending people were at serious risk? I am not saying that the rockets are meaningless and should just be ignored, but I am saying that this endless focus on "we're being attacked!" when Isreal is clearly not a country at war in any ordinary sense of the concept (it's hardly affected as a state, all the damage being made in the Palestinian territories - that is not a war situation in which you can justify disproportionate acts of violence) is covering important dynamics in the conflict that you never address, such as the expansion of settlements that has directly contributed to the violence in the region. "You can't negotiate with terrorists!" is not a proper response to that.

This is not true, I posted up there videos about that. From all the previous wars almost every family has at least one disabled person, when you have disabled + children in a building and 50 sec. to evacuate, you know damn well civilians gonna die and did you see how big of the explosion is? At least 3 surrounding buildings were destroyed. Not to menton that Israel was using 3 internationally banned weapons in wars on Gaza, which are designed to harm more civilians "DIME weapons spread inert metal atoms that penetrate the human body and are difficult to get out of human tissue. DIME munitions are used in the form of bombs that are propelled by drones. “Once the shell explodes, its cover degrades to let the lethal molecules spread across an area of four meters. The injury may be less serious when the person is far from the centre of the blast. Outside the four-metre diameter, the victim may survive, but may be subjected to the amputation of limbs due to shrapnel that cuts tissue and bone,” https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20140804-military-expert-israel-is-using-3-internationally-banned-weapons-in-gaza/ "Illegal weapons: 1. Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME): spread inert metal atoms that penetrate the human body and are difficult to get out of human tissue 2. Armour piercing bombs: normally used to strike fortified command centres and weapons stores, these bombs penetrate long distances with high explosive capabilities and have been used to hit Palestinian homes 3. White phosphorous: This mixes with oxygen to form a transparent wax and causes fires and thick, white smoke, it can burn the flesh until only the bones remain" "Israel admits it used phosphorus weapons" http://www.theguardian.com/world/2006/oct/23/israel http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2014/08/israel-use-banned-weapons-dime-gaza-war.html and a disturbing picture, but this is what DIME explosive does FreePalestine

"You can't negotiate with terrorists!" is not a proper response to that. Your logic is so embarrassing, I'm sorry. Leave the fact that these rockets ARE harmful and did ruin schools and houses. The only reason you're questioning these rockets is because the number of deaths in Israel are lower but it's not my fault you can't realize that without the Iron Dome, the statistics and number of deaths would be very different. Again, your inability to really understand what's going on here because frankly, you're not the one who woke up at 4am because of the siren alert during a rockets strike until the morning to the point you were afraid of dying. You didn't experience that but I did. (And so are the people in Gaza by the way- except the IDF intentions are to shoot on terrorists and not on them but you aren't able to realize that as well). What I have experienced is nothing compared to what the people in the south experienced. They live in a daily fear from these rockets. Homes were ruined by them. Saying they are completely harmless is such an inappropriate comment and I am sure you would take it back at some point in your life. We are being attacked constantly. Israel would be gone by now if it wasn't for the army. Reminding you- 1948 war, 1958 war, 1973 war, 2006 war and the recent attacks from Gaza. Not only that! Israel is one of the most cyber attacked countries in the world. There is violence in the first place because the Jewish people wanted to have their own country and the Arabs didn't agree and attacked the Jews because of it in 1948 but eventually lost and ran way and are now called "Palestinians". It's all rooted in this simple fact that just grew over the years and only then became complicated. It doesn't even matter anymore because questioning Israel's right as an independent country is illogical.
