Taking pictures with fans isn't "pretty much essential" at all, it's optional but most choose to do so because the benefits outweigh the risks for them, not everyone though (Justin being an example here) which is fair enough. If you DEFINITELY want to get a picture with an artist then the sure fire way is to get a Meet & Greet  Otherwise they're not obliged to do anything really :duck:

well, fans aren't obligated either to buy and stream their idol's album and could simply download it illegaly  guess it's fair

Absolutely :) If you care about supporting the artist financially then you purchase/stream the music or attend the concerts or buy merchandise or etc, if you don't care then you don't :woohoo: We all have to do what works for us best

my point is is that if people support an artist music , they should at least take pics with them or do whatever small things their fans ask (usually just taking pics , maybe answering 1-2 question), whether you like to do it or not...like , you wouldn't just sell a product to your client then spit in his face ( or head , like Justin literally did) and expect them to buy your music :rip: after all , he's just a mere product of the music industry for the masses to sell and since he surely enjoys his money (that's what his behaviour implies at all) , he should be more careful with his fanbase....I mean, at one point, they'll  grow up and realize how awful he is and will turn their back on him and he'll disappear into oblivion

I agree whole heartedly! I personally find it weird and creepy that ppl harass celebs in general outside their work, like red carpet, concerts and whatnot.

I disagree with that, I think if you support an artist then you get the music, anything further than that is a bonus, it shouldn't be expected by default :emma: Which is why I don't think not taking pictures with fans is an insult to them, it may seem like one because in the past he has and many other artists do, but I think that's because expectations need to be recalibrated :S Well I'd rather him not take pictures with fans and reduce the stress/frustration/sadness he receives from it than go ahead and do it and for negative things to start building and cause a major breakdown in the future :ohno:  Thinking of your own mental health and needs before the fans isn't and shouldn't be seen as a sin and an insult to the fans  Sometimes you have to put yourself before others, especially when it involves your wellbeing

You can replace where I said "insult" wth "disrespectful", my thoughts on both are the same :laughga:

I really don't get it.

He surely can do whatever he wants to, but your fans have made you famous, if you can "walk around somewhere" because you're not in college studying or working, well it's all thank to them. So cool down and respect who admires you

Be respectful to fans, if you think you're being threatened like a zoo animal, stop doing what you're doing, retire, sing with a bow like Sia or whatever  :neyde:

He can't have it both ways. You can't put your life on full display for the world then get upset by the repercussions of said action. You also can't cater your music and career to young adult females and sexualize your persona and then be upset when your not treated with the up most respect. He's whining about something that he has directly caused. That's not too say there's no truth in kids words, but if he truly wants things to be different and to be treated differently, he has to start living his life differently. He chose fame and celebrity, and he can choose to change it. But no, he doesn't get my sympathy with all this whining. Be a man and change it, and no limiting contact with fans is not changing it. That will just intensify the situation.

This sounds a lot like what I experience when I'm stressed out and dealing with anxiety. I'll have someone try to talk to me multiple times and it'll make me so nervous I'll start to feel like I'm being forced to talk, like I have no control over my emotions and I feel extreme panic and stress from a simple "hello" from someone.

Justin truly seems like he needs help. It seemed like he was getting better for a while there, but who knows the wonders PR had to do to maintain the "rebuilding" of his image. I think he has a serious attitude, but this seems to stem from something mentally, not just a part of his personality.

I think Bieber throws a temper tantrum every year about this time :flop:

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

First of all, if we're talking about cruelty, I'm an English teacher and reading all of these run-on sentences was TOUGH.
