Okay I get his point about people freaking out in front of him, but this post is just sooooo naive, careless, heartless, rude, crass, disrespectful. Even if he stops taking pics, he will still be treated like a zoo animal no matter where he goes. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to all these people who have been fans for years, so what if they get excited and forget to say hello? You have fans out here who lose all sense of control when they meet their idols because they care about you so deeply that they fall apart mentally and can't put into words how much your music has helped them, I would be flattered if that was me and gladly take pics but the way this is written, he couldn't care less about the very people that support him. It's like a big **** you to his supporters.

Yes they buy your music and you don't really owe them, but if people didn't buy said albums, you would have nothing. You can't just say stuff like that and expect it to be okay.

I'm no fan of Bieber's and him canceling his Meet and Greets without refunding people was inexcusable, but I can sympathize with him on this. The impersonal nature of getting a picture has taken over and taken the place of the way fan encounters used to be. Even so, he probably shouldn't have sent it out in writing. I doubt it will matter to the majority of his fans, though.

He's being honest and let's cut him some slack. He went through a rebellious phase we all did in the public eye, and it wasn't even that bad. He also was famous at like 15 and probably wishes he could just have a normal life again.
