when all I've tried to do is discuss your opinion.

By ignoring it? :poot: That's a good one.

That you fail to understand how it is a sexist opinion to assume a woman is ONLY supporting another because she is a woman is a failing on your part. I'm not going to coddle you if you can't understand that.

I understand your opinion but I don't agree with the idea that I was displaying sexist logic in my posts, that's the crucial difference.

Should I have called my friends and family members who supported Obama because they wanted a black president racist? Should I have called my friends and family members who wanted a young pope ageist? I didn't because I don't think in these cases there is a noteworthy (negative) bias present. Just like there's no noteworthy (negative) bias in my comments about Gaga either imo. Like I said, when Gaga does not offer any presentation of arguments as to why she supports Hillary except for a direct reference to Hillary "mothering" the United States (maybe she's the sexist one, have you thought about that?), I am gonna assume, based on my own personal observation of her past political statements, that that might be the prime reason for her supporting Hillary. And there would be nothing wrong with that at all, which is exactly why I don't get that me thinking that is sexist. There's no negative connotation around her being a woman involved at all. I'm just assuming what I think is the most realistic.

As a whole the sexist argument just fails completely for me. It's simply not relevant. If a male celebrity kept promoting Trump without offering any reasons why, I would naturally assume that guy is probably a racist. If a male celebrity kept promoting Bernie without offering any reasons why, I would naturally assume that guy was idealistic and probably doesn't have the wits to come up with a good argument as to what Bernie can bring to the table as president. And so would you, lbr. You have been generalizing Trump and Bernie supporters every single day here. I personally don't see the difference with me assuming that the sex of Hillary has something to do with Gaga's choice since she won't talk about her reasons for supporting her. It's just the most obvious conclusion, supported by my personal experience (admittedly, not empirical observation, but I never pretended my opinion was more than that), which is that a lot of women feel compelled to vote for Hillary firstly because they want a woman as president.

Is that so bad? Did that opinion seriously stick out in this thread of utter nonsensical, derogatory replies as something you seriously needed to discredit? Really?

Hm an interesting set of responses. We'd see something different if she said something about Bernie. I support Bernie but y'all get offended by everything. Free speech is a thing, if you have a problem give the White House a call :awkney:
