London 2012 have all England best performers through the years, from Mr.Bean, Monty Phyton, Spice Girls, Queen, and so on for their opening and closing ceremonies.

But Björk performed at The Athens Olympics 2004 though and composed Oceania for that event.

Greece don't have many global performers, aside from Vangelis, so I understood why they got Bjork. Also, Asian countries are almost always want to show what they have and what they can do. It's a pride thing for them.
