This quote is from 13 years ago. The situation has clearly changed.

Also the concept of being against illegal immigration is not inherently bad. It only leads to chaos and disorder, imbalances in American unemployment, as well as security threats. The point is to control it. It's not like she demonized immigrants as evil people. Look at that quote.

Now she wants to literally Americanize these immigrants. How is that not good?

Yes that quote is from 13 years ago, and yes people can change. However if you take a step back, and look at her progressions on policies & opinions as an adult. You can understand why she has one of the highest unfavorable ratings of any U.S Presidential candidate. (along with Trump) For instance one reason with Clinton is that she has a history of flip flopping on issues. i.e (Coal)

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/5/hillary-clintons-coal-flip-flop-could-prove-costly/

So what makes you believe she won't change her opinion, again?

Honestly both Trump & Clinton are terrible candidates, and I don't want to see either of them in office. Clinton is currently being investigated by the FBI for an indictment, so it may be possible that the Super Delegates will switch to Bernie.. if the FBI proceeds and says she is guilty of x amount of crimes.

On top of that the FBI has threatened walk outs before, because of past indictments being pardoned. If the FBI does suggest an indictment. Clintons campaign will be over...I don't suggest stacking all your cards in favor of her. There is still Bernie Sanders who also supports illegal immigration & Green Party leader Jill Stein.

Where'd you get that figure from? It's deceptively misleading.

Hillary last stated her policies during her 2008 Obama campaign. This graph is running under the assumption that she held on to those policies until the time came for her to discuss her policies again in 2013-2015 when starting up the presidential run.

It's inaccurate. I don't suggest using it.

Furthermore, it's not flip flop to switch positions over the course of 7+ years. That's a very long time. The world has changed A LOT during that seven years. It's easy to look back in retrospect, but the case is that with years come experience, even as adults, and these experiences shape your policy.

Hillary has really mellowed out. She's not as strict as you are making her out to be.

The reasons she has high unfavorability (not the highest by any measure) is simply due to the events of her life. She's the wife of Bill Clinton and has been associated with him, for good or ill. She's been trashed by the GOP for years. As Secretary of State, the GOP made sure to make any minor ****up as overblown as possible. Whitewater and Benghazi alone made a giant dent in her persona, even though she was ultimately acquitted on both accounts. She is a simply a media celebrity, and people have already formed their opinions about her. She's trying to change them

Clinton won't get indicted. There is precedent for it.

I don't even get why people are making a big deal out of it as if something bad happened. It was negligence with no actual ramifications or malevolent intent. Enough of those e-mails already.

Which figure is misleading? How unfavorable she is, or the flip flop time line? I mean if you go back even before that timeline she was a Goldwater girl (who was against the civil rights movement) Her husband signed the crime bills of the 90's (which she thought were great until recently) and she called TPP the gold standard of trade agreements. She voted for the Iraq War, and she thinks actions in Libya (regime change) were a good thing..But instead have lead to terrorist groups like ISIS.

She takes dirty money, and funnels it through her foundation... She states that her fundraising dinner with George Clooney was going to help down ticket democrats but that was a lie as only 1% goes to them and the rest went to her campaign. I could give you multiple instances where Hillary has skirted the campaign finance laws to her own benefit. Why does she even need to take money from Wall-Street, Big Oil & Corporations?

When Bernie Sanders doesn't even have a Super-PAC, and out raised her campaign, & broke Obama's fundraising record! Why is it that her policies align with early 90's/00s Republicans? (Before the GOP went full on shitty)

The flip flop one. It assumes that policy viewpoints are continuous until proclaimed otherwise. That's false.

Please don't use her short-lived time as a Republican to make her look bad :toofunny: One can just as easily assume that she switched parties because she disliked how Goldwater and Republicans in general were handling issues.

Stop demonizing the Crime Bill's inception. It was signed at a time where American crime rate was at its highest. Even Sanders approved of it. Does he fail to mention that when he drags Hillary for it in a display of hypocrisy? The unintended consequence of massively increased incarcerations was a result that nobody foresaw. Americans apparently don't care for laws.

In any case she has publicly issues statements that she wants to revise it so don't use it against her.

I agree with you that the TPP was poorly managed on her part. It had good intentions with bad consequences. That tends to happen when you live a life in active politics.

She did not vote for the Iraq war. She voted to authorize the president, with the backing of the UN, to investigate WMDs in Iraq and take military measures if necessary. She had no part in the executive decisions that led to the hot mess. Don't try to link her to it.

I don't get why you are saying that a regime change in Libya would not be a good thing. It was a horrible fascist regime that oppressed its people. What would the USA gain from helping them really? It was a matter of foreign policy by OBAMA that Hillary oversaw and for good reasons. The bad consequences are a result of negligence on the Libyan people's part not the USA. People in the MENA region simply love to **** themselves over. Take it from someone who's from there.

Wait here's the full context of the "young black man in a hoodie" quote:

In 2013, the median wealth of Black families was around $11,000. For White families, it was more than $134,000. And nearly half of all black families have lived in poor neighborhoods for at least two generations, compared to just 7 percent of White families. Today across America, our schools are actually more segregated than they were in l968.

Now, I believe that our problems are not all because of the virulence of some. Some of the comments you read on the internet are just so distressing. Some of the organizations that have promoted racism are deplorable. But I do think that all of us have to search our hearts hard to think about what more we can and should do. I mean, if we’re honest, for a lot of well-meaning, open-minded White people the sight of a young Black man in a hoodie still evokes a twinge of fear. And news reports about poverty and crime and discrimination evoke sympathy, even empathy, but they do rarely spur us to action or prompt us to question our own assumptions and privilege.

We cannot hide from these hard truths about race and justice in America. We have to name them and own them and change them. And we can start by standing up and saying loudly and clearly, yes, Black lives matter. And then we need – (applause) – and then we need to take action, and that action has to be at the local level, the state level and the federal level.

...

http://newsone.com/3158640/hillary-clinton-white-fear-black-hoodies-speech/

CONTEXT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. You can't take a quote (out of context) and then just run with it.

You're not getting the point. The point is that she's calling people who enforce black stereotypes "well-meaning, open minded white people".

When are they gonna be well meaning and open minded when they **** themselves at the sight of a black person? White people make black seem so scary that when I look at myself in the mirror I'm afraid.

Ummmm.... are you gonna ignore the fact that the Crime Bill is the reason mass incarceration exists now and that it promotes systematic racism in our justice system just like that?

Are you going to ignore the context of why it was passed, and the reasons that even the most liberal of liberals Mr. Sanders voted for it?

It has terrible results, but blame the Americans for that.

Let me know how Hillary is being ignorant. You going to pull up that 13 minutes of lying video again? It's probably the only weapon any Hillary-hater has on this cult site.

White ethnics/white passing is a thing ya know..

Also, people blasted Hillary for making the implication that she knows what the Latinx experience is like. She wasn't just saying "I'm just like your grandma". If she had been trying to say that, she would just have said "I'm like your grandma". The reason why people called it pandering was because she specifically used "abuelita" to say that she like a "latina grandma". But she's not. Literally all she did was talk in spanglish and somehow that made her knowledgeable in latinx culture. Like, I grew up in El Salvador and "el respesto" was never something my grandma talked about?? lol. "El respeto" is not some big idea that all of Latin America follows, it literally just means "respect" which is obviously not Latinx exclusive. If she REALLY was like my abuelita, she would jave a family of 8 children, she wouldn't know how to read or write because she had to drop out of school after 3rd grade to support her family, and she would have lived in property. This is a common experience for Latinx women, and Hillary never lived any of that because she's privileged af, so she can't even begin to say that she is like my abuelita.

It doesn't matter why it passed, even Bill Clinton admitted that it was his worst mistake. It should have never passed, the only thing it targeted heavily was non-violent drug crimes. Are you really gonna excuse a racist bill because "look at the time it passed!"? Are we gonna excuse slavery and lynching now too because "it was normal!" then?

Also, why blame the Americans for the consequences of a bill that they had no say in instead of blaming the person who signed it into law?? That makes no sense.

White? Lebanese? Latino? Spanish? North African? Can you tell? :D

What about this one?

I love how people oversimplify race here. :deadbanana:

There are dozens of subgroups for white people alone.

Being a white ethnic, ESPECIALLY if you're white passing like in those pictures, doesn't change the fact that you still get privileges for looking white. Don't try to insinuate that you suffer more than black people or dark skinned lantinx people

I'm looking at Hillary as a whole including her time she spent as an (R), and its in my opinion that she is a flawed presidential candidate. Because of the effects from Bill Clinton & Al Gore moving the Democratic party to the right. They called themselves the "New Democrats" which meant they were Neo-Liberalist, and they looked up to the White Collar class instead of the Blue Collar working class.

Once Bill Clinton & Al Gore were able to push their agenda, it forced the GOP to move even more to the right, and lobby with the more conservative Tea Party movement. Once Bill was in office he introduced the Crime Bill, Welfare Reform, and the deregulation of Wall-Street..Which also lead to our housing collapse, and our last recession. None of those bills would have passed... if he had an (R) in front of his name. But because of the efforts of the new faux Democratic Party they were able to be passed.

Hillary Clinton is the standing symbol for the "New Democrats." Which in my opinion has ruined the Democratic Party/DNC... She is for interventionist wars, deregulating, and pro corporations. She may now share some progressive social ideals that look great from the outside, but her past proves everything you say wrong. For instance those crime bills targeted non violent black men for petty crimes like drugs. She called black men & teenagers "Super Predators."

She also stated that she would use more muscle with Iran & Israel.. She was a major part of the U.S intervention of constant regime change with Libya and Syria. All of those interactions with the middle east have resulted in a heavy toll on not only on our economy, and people. But it's also aided those like ISIS. So yes her not having foresight in what would result AFTER regime change, shows her pro-war stance. She has also stated she is for a no fly zone, which would mean our american troops on the ground. Which would result in giving Russia a reason to attack us, and start another world war. The U.S needs to focus on itself for once, and stop micro-managing other countries. Because we have a crumbling nation from infrastructure to shitty healthcare, to corruption & money in politics.

Cruz - Extremely Conservative, Pushes Religious Agenda

Donald Trump - Stereotypical Republican

Hillary Clinton - Republican Lite, Socially Democratic

Bernie Sanders - Pre "New Democrat", True FDR Democrat, Progressive

Jill Stein - Progressive Democrat/Environmentalist

I hope you're kidding.

My family is mostly in Lebanon. Skin color is irrelevant there. We have our own share of problems. Don't downplay how much we suffer by framing us in the same perspective as Americans. I don't do it to Americans when discussing your politics and society, especially now that I live here and have both perspectives in my sights. There is no such thing as "White-privilege" there. Don't try it. Over there we fight over religion not race.

Also you've got to be kidding if you're saying that Middle Easterners don't have their own problems in the USA. I've almost been turned back at the border twice after returning from a trip to Lebanon for Christmas. I'm glad I live in Boston. There are places in the USA I can't even go without being accused of a terrorist. Once I passed by Charlotte and I got weird looks from people cause I had a light beard :wtf:

In retrospect, not in intent.

Same applies to your second statement. The intent of the law was to discourage crimes. It made crime look less appealing by making the punishment bigger.

Apparently Americans don't care about the law.

Mexicans make up 62% of illegal immigrants.

Hispanics make up 75% of total illegal immigrants.

So pardon her for pointing that out.
