If she took her own delusional claims about originality seriously she'd have her own line. But no. I am disgusted.

1. I don't see the link between developing your own clothes and modeling, but k.

2. You do know that she was told by the producers too say the stuff about the contestant and her husband in quest for more views, right? The contestant even admitted that he was told beforehand she was going to pull the originality act. She's just not allowed to say it publicly because her husband and she signed a contract.

I don't. If that's the case then (a) what an idiot for doing it; (b) link to the contestant admitting it.

Cruel Youth is the musical love child created during a 3-month lock-in at my studio with my husband Willy Moon. It’s The Ronettes on Oxy, it’s a narcotic lullaby, a psychedelic jingle you might hear waiting in line at a Western Union or a laptop symphony soundtracking a car crash in slow motion. Willy and I met whilst both signed to Universal Records, and married only a few months later. Cruel Youth is an intravenous hit of our love and everything I find beautiful.

For a brief moment in 2015 I felt like it was the death of me, but somehow the part that survived was a pure uncensored passion that quickly became the ace in my hand. While evolving my solo project into my new band I was approached to be a personality on X Factor New Zealand, which lead to a publicity stunt resulting in a viral media storm. I was subjected to a global witch hunt I couldn’t defend myself against due to a wide-reaching legal gagging order. It was a truly regrettable situation for everyone involved, and Willy and I flew back to our home in New York where I threw myself headfirst into songwriting. Days later, I was collaborating with Madonna on her #1 album Rebel Heart, co-writing the song “Holy Water”. I was drafted onto Rihanna’s writing team, spending months traveling the world with her, and ultimately co-writing ‘Kiss It Better’ on her worldwide #1 album Anti.

While working with such tenacious and outspoken artists, I found a sanctuary where I was allowed to sing the unspeakable … no frills, no fakery. All fun, games, whiskey and a microphone, with the occasional drop in from friends, writers and producers who added their own take on our world.

To my friends, followers and everyone that has supported me during this transitional time — I’m excited to share this new music with you. This is our song ‘Mr. Watson’, this is Cruel Youth.

Love, Teddy Sinclair”

After being sacked, fleeing the country, and making international headlines, Kills and Moon issued separate apologies. She said: "I was encouraged to be outspoken and things got out of hand." He said: "It went too far and I never intended to single out anyone."

Later, Kills changed her name to Teddy Sinclair and formed a band with Moon, called Cruel Youth. They've released one song, called Mr Watson. She sounds a lot like Amy Winehouse in it.

@C Slayclair

That does not mean she was told to say what she did. Besides, the full quote is: "The show brought me on to bring my passion, dramatic expression and perspective. I was encouraged to be outspoken and things got out of hand."

Doesn't look like a confession of being forced to bully someone to me. And she did not tell the contestant in advance (still waiting for a link that proves me wrong tbh) as far as I'm aware, since she also said: "I hope you can forgive me" to Joe in a Billboard interview. Plus, she referred to the drama saying on Twitter: "Obviously sometimes TV producers plan drama for ratings and it (can) totally back fire on them. But if that was another stunt then it was badly (done)" so that's not entirely clear to me either.

Anyway, didn't really want this to go off-topic (this shoot is just basic af and I think that's just ironic given her past) but yeah, not sure I'm convinced. Besides, even if she was told to do what she did, then I'm still shocked she was foolish enough to actually do it and sign a contract that forced her to stay silent about it, knowing it could erupt into a scandal :rip:

But anyway. I do like some of her music and I don't have anything against her. But this shoot is basic, which you agree with :chica: She can do a lot better indeed.

Clip

It's not bad but I would have added some more elements on the picture, not just a white background. Something like a glamourous black armchair or futuristic furniture

Um you're obviously a big fan of her so I'm gonna try to say this without hurting anyone's feelings, but... isn't she a bit full of **** there? Rebel Heart was released 2 weeks BEFORE she was sacked from X-Factor. And Holy Water even leaked as a demo version 3 whole months before the X-Factor incident. And there, she's making it sound like Madonna called her after the incident, that's just stupid 'cause anyone can check dates :awkney:

Not to mention that I highly doubt this whole mess was a publicity stunt, but hey... She can be a horrible human being and still make good music, I guess.

I guess she just mixed it up

but she was seen with Madonna even after the incident at a party I believe

she's not as bad as everyone makes her out to be

a while back after the incident

she sent me a long ass message (which I wont post for privacy reasons) on twitter

and she thanked me for supporting her music and how thankful she was to have a fan who believed in her art and her

and even before that she was out at a club.. and she recognized my bestfriend in Chicago, pulled him to the restroom and asked if he could send me a video

Well, it just seems to me that she ****ed up so bad she kinda clings to every fan she can get her hands on.... :toofunny:

But that's just me being a bit cynical, and I just think her X-Factor comments were unforgivable. I didn't really like her music in the first place, and I really don't like her as a person. But I definitely respect everyone's tastes, and you must have your reasons to love her so much and I'm happy that she acknowledged you.
