Enhsa 2,043 Posted May 1, 2016 Share Posted May 1, 2016 According to Bossip, Queen Bey is being accused of stealing the 1997 “Ever Is Over All” video idea from visual artist Pipilotti Rist’s for her “Hold Up” video. The two video’s are exceptionally similar, almost identical actually. The 34-year-old superstar has yet to comment but check out the scene-by-scene comparison video above and decide for yourself. Now Beyonce has been accused of stealing ideas before. Critics accused the R&B mom of stealing actual footage from the 2013 New Orleans bounce documentary, That B.E.A.T, for her “Formation” music video earlier this year. But Beyonce’s reps told EW.com that “The documentary footage was used with permission and licensed from the owner of the footage. They were given proper compensation. The filmmaker is listed in the credits for additional photography direction. We are thankful that they granted us permission.” It’s doubtful that Beyonce will comment personally on her “Hold Up” video. Is Bey just out here stealing other people’s ideas without proper permission, or is it all a huge coincidence? Its not specific enough to be stolen, plus Beyoncé does a lot more than what that woman does, so I think she was inspired but took it (a lot) further.
