At the moment This Is What You Came For by Rihanna and Calvin Harris is selling twice as much as any other song in the UK. This could well be riri's 9th UK number 1 and if not its almost guaranteed to be riri's 28th top ten she is undeniably the queen of 2016 pop so far I'm so pleased for Rihanna her music is great and its amazing how she is still so cool and cooler than ever after 11 years of being in the spotlight! What does everyone think of Rihanna at the moment? :hor:

It's been only 1 day… "this" doesn't look like anything, we just don't know yet

Dominic

It will go #1 in the UK largely because it's Calvin Harris so he's local and because it's dance.

Edit: I'm not denying Rihannas power here but Calvin Harris rules the radios.

What do I think of Rihanna lately ?

Well...I really cannot swallow ANTi (except for some gems such as Kiss It Better, Desperado, Love On The Brain, Never Ending, Close To You). Call it artistic, call it Rihanna's masterpiece , call it wtv but LOUD and GGGB will remain unbothered. It's sad how she use to deliver hard on a yearly basis and after she takes a messy 3-year break comes back with avant-garde nonsense. Like literally if you think about it, what is ANTi lol, just a bunch of songs from experimental sessions slabbed onto an album, here you go people, I've created ART. It's like these days singers try so hard to be edgy, that it's becoming the new commercial move.

As for "This Is What You Came For", I literally think Calvin and Rih were in need of major money, cause yea ANTi will do well with the west but only PopRiri can dominate worldwide and since her last Pop hit was Diamonds and Kiss It Better isn't being picked up by Pop radio, they thought why not just make Rih sing on a basic beat and make millions. The proof is in We Found Love, have Rih and Calvin put effort into it, we would have possibly gotten song of the year but no. Overall the song is nice and that's it really, watch it sell like crazy. Oh and I love how Rihanna is playing the whole world right now especially with Work's success, it's like you guys are convincing her that she can take as many vacations as she wants and still be relevant and not even put an inch of an effort and still create songs that the public will desperately consume.
