So taking someone's look is okay if you're more popular?

Is not that is ok, is just that is obvious that if Sia was going to get looks from someone, then it would have been Gaga. And like others said, is not that Gaga was the first one to do it, but she was the first one to popularized them and bring them to a mass audience.

I think Sia is basically going in the direction Gaga should have gone post-Born This Way. I might make a thread about it because they do share a lot of similarities in sound etc.

My point however is that there's no point being hung up on hair. Gaga "took" the look from Porcelain after becoming aware of her through Red One. I think it looks great and I'm glad Gaga rocked it but I don't think anyone can call Sia on it.

I am sure porcelain wasn't the first one either. Anyways, Gaga and Sia do have a lot of similarities.

Cruella De Vil mass audience is wayyy bigger than Gaga's. You're making easy and irrelevant shortcut. Black and white/blond hair is nothing uncommon even in real life.

Well, like I already said, is not just the color but the style. No one was more known for this kind of style than Gaga before Sia.

Ok, so a mainstream artist can use something from less popular artist and then be called the inspiration of all the next ones. What if Sia was actually inspired by Porcelain ? What a reverse warholian experience would it be right ?

Is possible. All I am saying is that It is more likely that Sia was inspired by Gaga than by anybody else. Her style is obviously more resembling of Gaga's than someone like Porcelain for example. Anyways, the main point here is the similarities in the song. I just deviated because I responded to someone who said Sia had nothing to do with Gaga when obviously they have many similarities.

Illuminati

Sia's Hologram is likely just some demo that leaked and was probably intended for another artist as usual. Regarding her hair though, to me it would be the first thing i'd think of when thinking about visuals for an album that has "acting" in it's title. Sort of a nod to comedy and drama face masks that are half black half white. it's that simple. ,

If anything, they initially assumed she stole Melanies look not Gaga's lol. I really don't think she has any intention to be the next gaga or to steal her crazy visuals, I mean seriously are we talking about the same Sia here who barely even faced camera not that long ago.

Sia has been copying Gaga for years. People say Gaga is irrelevant yet Sia has gained most of her fame in America by copying Gaga's style. It's that Gaga style that made Sia interesting to people, not the basic music she makes.

delusional af, sia has been "weird" and has her own style for a long time, even before her chandelier era
