Can Gaga top herself again

I'm watching 

 And it's clear to see gagas original endeavours reign supreme. My question is, can gaga stop herself with lg5?

When I first heard just dance I thought "jeffree starr...?" then realized it was the new girl, and immediately declared her a one hit wonder. Then gaga dropped the bomb of pokerface and I realized she could possibly be a force to be reckoned with. 

Love game and paparazzi were good but I didn't believe she had the gusto to deliver a 2nd album hit (given the atrocious bad Romance demo) but was floored at the released version. 

I then thought, it's all rags for gags, she can't top it. Then she released Born This Way and for a moment I felt I was right, then the melody and lyrics moved me and I knew she deserved yet another #1.

But since then, I've not met a gaga song to date (given scheisse, monster, dwuw, gypsy, appluase) that could stand alone like just dance, poker face, and bad Romance had done before it

 

So my question, little bottoms, in your deepest hearts, when you lie awake at night and question your life and fave, do you honestly believe gaga can top herself again? 

I didn't think so after just dance

I was wrong.

I don't really see just dance, poker face songs that need to be topped, compared some of other song in gagas discography(Dance in the dark) , they aren't even that good to me personally.  sure they are great bops and were groundbreaking when they first came out. I just want quality music thats innovative, different, and will hopefully slay the charts. and I'm confident that will happen, Applause and Do what u want did not too bad at all, people just make it seem like. That whole era was a mess thats y, hopefully lg5 won't be. that will satisfy me enuf

She'll never top FameGa for me because she's clearly taken distance from that kind of performance style. She's settling for just being an artist who presents herself as an ordinary person creating stuff, and I respect that, but for me personally, the "living commentary", more-than-human persona was a triumph and a genius way of propelling pop culture forward. I just don't believe, based on what I'm seeing, that she can ever recreate the sense of awe and depth again.

But I'm excited to be proven wrong. Musically she obviously can outdo her previous efforts if she wants to. But to me the Lady Gaga I fell in love with was an all-round act, so to me a kick ass album wouldn't be enough to say she topped her first era. Sadly.

Basically this. Even if she releases something that is both a critic's darling and the general public loves, sales aren't like they used to be, and no one's going to be hitting those numbers again.

I think it will too. She's almost 30, not the 20 year old bright eyed girl she once was, but I feel she's matured past TF/M and AP is below her maturity which is why it failed. 

She could have a life long legacy if she grows with her music, as I know she's capable of doing
