It feels amazing to have experienced these artists when they were at the top of their game. It's like they became a part of your life from the past. Britney was part of my childhood and Gaga was part of my early adulthood. I still follow them and get updates from them but I will always cherish their prime. I do have faith (kinda small) that Gaga can be somewhat big again. She just needs to play her cards right and it's sort of a 50/50 because she's a rebel...but she also does care about what the general public thinks of her. She's a very confusing woman but we shall see. I'm the same way man. Britney shaped my childhood, and gaga had me during my late teens, early 20s. A good part of my life when I look back will have them as the background music, and I'm completely OK with that. I'm not sure if gaga will ever get to where she was, like britney never got back to where she was, but I hope gagas image on pop culture history won't be tarnished, and she will be looked back on in a respective, influential way, much like how britney is viewed today. Gaga has, whereas britney really doesn't, the TALENT to make it happen. She wrote TF/M, and has the pipes, has the eye for detail and fashion to make it happen again, but I'm not sure if it's in the cards for her at point

It's hilarious how you think you can speak on behalf of millions of people, yet alone hold their basic, mass-consumptive views in such a high regard. We're talking about a populous who think Taylor Swift is music. I'd rather Gaga release her albums low-key forever like indie artists than throw away her art for the sake of the general public's opinion. That would disgust me, and she'd never do it. You should be happy about that. Lol. Like it or not they will be the ones consuming her music and buying tickets to her tours. I never said their opinion was worthy of high regard nor that she needs to throw away her artistry.

I dragged 2 friends with me to TMB, neither of them really liked her music but were super excited to go because of the hype during that time and Gaga's reputation of having crazy live shows. I think they went along with me more to say that they had gone to see Gaga live rather than going because they actually liked her (if that makes sense?) I remember one of their posts on FB something like "Seeing THE Lady GaGa tonight!" being a total brag Not the bore worms!

Every straight guy I knew bumped her so hard cuz her beats were fire, every girl wanted to dress like her and be as cool as her, and I wore sunglasses every day to imitate her. She was soooo fvcking cool. I remember when fancy cars used to play 'Alejandro' in the streets all the time :

Didymus 34,379
I can't fathom the fact that people need to make threads about this. I mean, she has literally explained multiple times now how she's in the best place to create artistic gold again, calling the pressure from 2010 till 2013 a negative influence on her creativity. Everyone who still doesn't get it by now is just not gonna ever get it tbh As Emma said a few years back: "If you're just here to ride along on Gaga's success train, she doesn't even think of you as a fan" (paraphr.) I love Britney (I even like her personality more than Gagas) but she doesn't have the talent to be on top again but at the same time I'm glad she even had a prime at all. Even britney haters admit that she was on top in pop during the late 90s to mid 2000s. Gaga still has potential because she is multitalented but I also think she lost her creative spark which is what her trademark is. This next album really is her make it or break it in terms of popularity.

I frankly don't care about the GP, so there isn't anything to like or not, as you put it. Then why mention them? They don't matter in the slightest. To me, it's the fans who we should be focusing on consuming the music, if anyone. If you don't have shadows you're not standing in the light.

Stop trying to make Gaga an elitist artist. She is a Pop star that appeals to many people. She is a mainstream act.

She will have fans and GP both coming to her tour regardless. Artistic integrity and longevity is the most important thing, not the damn GP. I'm not trying to make Gaga anything, but you really need to stop reducing her to some pandering pop star, she exceeds all classification where that's concerned. This next album really is her make it or break it in terms of popularity. Britneys impact cannot be denied. These might be basic examples but the fairly odd parents had pop diva Britney Britney, and music and lyrics fashioned their pop start around Britney (young, blonde hair, a dancer at heart) along with countless other references to Britney. She became the blueprint for a pop star, which is why soooooo many girls come out, blonde hair, big boobs, overly sexualized, and dance. Granted, madonnas influence on Britney is there, I'm sure newer girls are taking notes from both Madonna and Britney (seeing as how Britney wasn't the first blonde, Dancy, sexualized female girl) And this is an unpopular opinion, but gagas spark came from her bluntness, her inability to be swayed by what people thought. She was mysterious, she was aloof, she didn't care about anything except music, art, fashion and big d!cks. Then she wanted to save all the little broken gay souls around the world and lost her spark. She became vulnerable, which is something I feel no one wants past a certain extent in their pop girl. And now gaga can't take it back. She'll never have that specific quality again, but I'm sure the embers are still insider her, and she can start another fire

I actually agree with you there too for once I don't think the album's as musically or lyrically strong as it could've been, but it is an interesting album.
