DiscoHeaven23 35,007
With just one day of sales, Prince has made his presence known on the most recent Billboard Hot 100 chart, released this morning. Prince has six songs in the Top 50. (Songs reentering the Hot 100, can only do so if they have enough points to enter the top 50) These songs are: Purple Rain: #17 When Doves Cry: #20 Kiss: #28 Little Red Corvette: #29 Let’s Go Crazy: #39 1999: #41 Prince will likely see at least one of his songs hit the top 10 next week, when he has a full week of charting

I've never been a fan or truly listened to any Prince song, but I know most of the words to Purple Rain You're stinky

Guest
The fact that a song has to crack the top 50 to be able to re-enter the charts is disappointing. Why can't they just include all songs? Charts represent the popularity of songs in a given week and in the following week it should represent the way people reacted to Prince's death. The iTunes charts were dominated by Prince, he deserves the proper credit for that. Reminds me of when MJ passed away and his songs couldn't properly re-enter the Hot 100 because of previous rules. Brian Ryan 1,468
What? I thought it would be for sure higher than that. Itunes is not as powerful as it used to be. The hell? I thought for sure Purple Rain was going to go top 10.
