What's your point? This is our longest wait ever as Gaga fans and I'm so thirsty for music. And here comes Beyonce releasing two in between that time
mariomania1234 11,368
Maybe from her generation, yes. I think Gaga still holds the title out of her contemporaries though.
Versace 7,971
Culturally yes , she has the greatest impact but hey nothing matches the impact of Gaga's debut Gaga's debut overshadowed two Beyonce albums and one of those albums was Bey's most commercially successful album (I Am...Sasha Fierce). Heck Gaga's debut overshadowed everyone and everything but Kesha's Tik Tok. Gaga's existence was the biggest thing/threat in music since Britney's debut with Baby One More Time (the song & album). However what makes Beyonce stand out is even though she may not have a big moment like the rise of Gaga or Adele's 21 sales or Taylor's quadruple first-week platinum sales, she remains to be the most relevant being in music. Ever since Destiny's child to today, I mean that's why she has 20 grammies. Tbh Beyonce seemed to lose her fire a bit during the 4 era, perhaps that was cause there was too much going on (Gaga, Katy, Adele) but then she proved that she is a force, here to stay. Beyonce's consistency is what makes her relevant and hype-worthy. Is Beyonce the most impactful artist of our generation? Answer: Yes Is Beyonce the most commercially successful artist of our generation? Answer: No See: Adele and Taylor (In terms of albums) , Katy and Rihanna (In terms of singles) Is Beyonce the best artist of our generation? Answer: No See: Gaga and heck even if not Gaga , see Sia or P!NK
TheBatman 951
She's a big, for sure, royalty! As big as M, MJ, Prince. I don't say that lightly. But it's true. No one else has come close, and she is it. Britney and JT came close. The current crop all wish. Nicki and Rih are close.(Gaga looked like she was headed towards that kinda Olympian status, and maybe she will still, depends a lot on the next era.) That is, I don't think she's had her career defining moment. We all know she's iconic and is a pop culture staple, just like Beyonce, but she hasn't had her true peak yet imo. Not even... I lived through those three during their peaks and Beyonce has not reached their level yet.
uo111 5,265
She is mega famous but she joined the causes she is advocating for (or using, depending on your viewpoint) really late. Her impact on them is very minor. She is more like a mirror of the culture than anything. And she has zero impact musically, probably because her music is made for her. Beyonce's biggest cultural impact is just being Beyonce. #Iwokeuplikethis is the most culturally impactful thing she has done in recent memory. And it actually hurts feminism more than it helps Too have an impact you have to do a little more than just be #flawless. Kim K has as big an impact as her. Nope, Taylor, Katy and Beyonce still have tremendous impacts outside of the English speaking world. I'm saying this as a Vietnamese and a traveler. CannaeDrive 3,412
No, you are confusing commercial hype and media loud noise with "cultural impact", all this will calm down in a few days. "Fame Is A Boomerang" - Maria Callas

You wished for ARTPOP to flop didn't you? Would you want LG5 to underperform as well so no one can say Gaga is overrated? I don't agree with you. I hope Gaga gets praised to the heavens. I wish the same for all Artists. What? Lol, i dont know where you got all that ... I dont think being praised for their work is overrated, i find her in general to be now. Dont come for me im a bey fan, and I dont care if an artists music flops or not, its just music not that big of a deal tbh. I dont know why youd think id want Gagas next album to underperform, I dont care too much lol. I just think artists tend to be overrated at their peaks. I think Gaga is underrated actually now that I think about it, shes awsome i hope she gets just as much praise (and more) as she gets now

You haven't even listened to her album when you posted this and simply assumed she's overrated. Meaning you think what she presented would not have been worthy of the praise she was getting. At Least Shonda Rhimes heard Gaga perform at the Oscars before she began judging it. I'm not dragging you. I just think your perception in this case is not right when you call someone "overrated" without actually knowing what she could have made.
