Copy and pasting lyrics and not referencing them in any way is childish and would get you an F in an exam. It's lazy and unoriginal.

Funny how I am actually creating a dialogue. You're trying to shut one down.

I think they're both creative in their own right.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Personally, the creative process behind the albums is something I don't know enough about so I don't feel I can make a comment re : the true creativity per both albums, comparatively speaking.

On the surface though, both read as conventional albums with extra-mediums/elements used to elevate the experience the listener/viewer has with the product. Kudos to both gurls for actually putting in effort when given their brand/success, they'd probably make more $/have more #1's by just pleasing the masses.

Exactly. In 10 years lets see if people remember LIMONADA visual album or Gagas iconic painted face:gaycat:

That's probably the most immature thing I've read from you.

We get it. Little Monsters get ARTPOP. You don't. WE GOT IT.

I thought someone of your supposed caliber would have been able to see the point I was making; just because an album does not attempt to touch on X amount of subjects means it is less "creative."

But obviously it only comes down to people who apparently "get" ARTPOP and who "don't." Like we haven't heard that boring, overused argument a thousand times before.

Only a Gaga fan page would think to compare these two :toofunny:

I don't think artists are out there to prove their work is more creative than other artists' work. Just the fans.

Oh goodness.

I love both albums. And Beyonce is very talented.

I don't get the constant hate.

Just because Gaga put the word art in her album title doesn't make it artistic :neyde: The albums are totally different and literally don't even need to be compared, why can't they both be artistic in their own right?

It's like looking at an Edward Hopper painting and a Jackson Pollock, they're both paintings and both created by artists and they exist in the same universe under the same umbrella term that is art. They're both pieces of art, just because you don't like one of them or the way one of them is produced doesn't make it any less artistic.

It's ironic that you should quote something not meant to be taken at face value and take it at face value in an attempt to prove that the thing you are quoting is not thought provoking.

Honey as of right now no one even remembers what ARTPOP is, no one cares. If anything people just know what it is for the flop it was.

Mythos

Why the hell would you even compare those two? In what world does that make any sense to anyone, except you just want to hate?

Gaga did more than just "throw some paint on her face". If that's genuinely all you think she did I don't even know why you are here. This isn't a 'Beyonce hate campaign' it's a simple opinion. And to me, it's the correct one. Gaga delves deep into the madness and insanity of creativity and what it can do to creative minds, speaks openly about drug abuse, is honest about who she has sex with, what she eats, what she drinks. She experiments wildly with hooks and beats and baselines and even sonically cracks speakers, and pulls it off. She uses motifs and metaphors to highlight her sexuality, sexual positions, writes stunning poetry with abbreviated titles and wordplay. With her first single she tapped into a Shakespearian philosophy about the 'performer' and in Swine used an unconventional and experimental formula to scream at her perpetrator. A lot of people don't 'get' ARTPOP simply because of it's artistic and creative integrity and intelligence. 'Aura' was sonically 'insane' to illustrate how insane she feels. 'Swine' was 'full of that awful screaming' because she felt terrible and wanted to scream. Only Gaga could pull off such literal meanings in metaphorical ways, could be so experimental and yet make it work coherently. ARTPOP wasn't made for an easy listen to an easily digestible and common theme like indefinitely. To us writers and poets and artists and fans of art, it is just that: a work of art. Art isn't always pretty, and it also doesn't always have to be good. Art just is. And considering the vast majority of pop music listeners don't have the intellectual capacity (not always their fault) to understand art, doesn't make ARTPOP a f*cking bad album. Some people have incredible vanity to suggest ARTPOP is bad simply because they are intellectually deficient. It's genius and it's badass.

If you don't have shadows you're not standing in the light.

ARTPOP is not more creative than Lemonade. There's nothing I haven't heard before in both albums. Overall, Lemonade is more creative especially with the Lemonade movie. As much as I love ARTPOP it's all over the place. The message is not clear. Lemonade makes it's message very clear. I think Lemonade by far is a better album. I can listen to it from beginning to end. I wish you guys would stop with this competition. Just let the album come out. It's the Hot 100 and Billboard Top 200 albums. Not the Gaga Hot 1 and Billboard Top 200. Just because an album or song does not get a #1 is not big deal.
