PaperIz 7,346
Thst sucks. I was looking forward to buying the album. Tidal disgusts me. Why would you prevent people from hearing your music? I want a physical copy, dammit! This is upsetting. Human generated art
OmgSum1Actually 3,041
It's such a shame this amazing album won't be out for masses... Some of yall saying she's all about music not the bling, well she's about bling, because every Tidal sub or every album bought there will bring her more profit in general than iTunes sales Shameless selfpromo
Chuckles 2,549
I want to sell all my Beyoncé collection as I stopped caring about her. I have 4 album CDs, 3 tour DVDs, and a couple of magazines. If anyone is interested PM me.

Dominic 11,922
These streaming exclusives are having a huge detriment to the music and the message. It's like a game of Monopoly, trying to get the best artist on your team, and that's not how Tidal marketed itself. Music for everyone I believed it was? The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Greg 6,330
Tidal exclusives just encourage people to illegally download content, which is killing the music industry. Tidal has just become an annoyance.

CatelynnMarie 4,406
I ended up caving and made an account on Tidal for the free month or whatever. It really sucks it comes down to this and makes me upset that streaming services even exist. The only one I ever was even close to being on board with was Apple Music, not just because I'm an Apple fan, but because it makes the most sense. Apple has been supplying music for years and it just makes the most sense to me that they would offer something like that. I don't know I just feel so indifferent about streaming services and I hate they exist. Instead of putting your music exclusive for a streaming service, how about making exclusive, limited edition physical copies and such of things. I feel like virtually no artists care about physical content anymore. Which okay that's understandable because we are in the digital era, but it's still really cool to have physical items, whether it's a form of physical CD/Vinyl or merch if you're a big fan and want to collect items from your fave. Anyway though, if there HAS to be some exclusives for these services, they should be bonus things. Tracks/ instrumentals/ acapellas/ bonus videos/ behind the scenes/ etc. Not the entire album itself imo, because that's just limiting your artwork to a specific group of people. I mean, as a musician and artist in general, shouldn't you want your work to be out there and available to people? Isn't part of the reason you're an artist because you are expressing yourself within your talents and are trying to make an impact of some sort? Like yes, as an artist, I do art because I love doing it and it can be as simple as that, but I also know that depending on life situations and how I'm feeling at that moment, it effects how my art turns out/ ideas. Especially if there's specific projects I work on that are based off a concept. If I plan on sharing that art, because I want people to enjoy it and maybe identify with it and talk about it and feel something, then I would want it at least available to be seen or purchased by a vast majority. If I didn't want people to see things I create, I simply wouldn't discuss it or share it. In this particular topic, Lemonade is about very serious situations imo. Mainly cheating. The world is changing and it's becoming more like, cheating is more accepted or whatever. I think that's ridiculous and disturbing, but regardless, it's still a serious topic at least to me. Knowing she was making a concept album based on this experience she had, wouldn't you think she would want the masses to have this available to hear her story, relate to it, enjoy it, get emotional about it? Instead of having it completely and totally exclusive to a streaming service, regardless of which service, and then getting HBO involved to show the visuals? Like okay yeah that's great, but instead, maybe you should have had the visuals exclusive to Tidal, then had the album available on multiple platforms. I don't know. Maybe I'm just rambling at this point because I haven't slept all night and perhaps I'm not making much sense, so I think I'll stop here EDIT: I regret all the rambling I did and I apologize. This was also written before Lemonade was available to purchase outside of Tidal. I still feel the same about what I said, I just am sorry for the unneeded novel
