This made me wonder whether her music is meant for audience to experience or just to make money for her man's business.

its like mess, I understand artists may not like their music to be streamed for free and generate less profits but at the end of a day without audience they would only dream about their careers.

thats pure greed and it's not standing for art.

imho :hor:

I find it hilarious that big artists like Beyonce and Kanye West stream their music making it inaccessible for many fans (especially international ones) while indie artists won't commit such a sin.

Shame, music is about sharing messages and showing the world what you created. Guess I'll go back to the artists who are kind enough to have iTunes releases and physical copies.

So stupid. Fans got you there to the A-list, Beyonce. And fans can bring you back to the D-list. :neyde:

I fell down the stairs once as an actor.

Well, too bad for her. Nothing can make be create a Tidal account. :neyde:

I will never understand how an artist can exclude a lot of fans just like that. I mean, those who actually buys their CDs should be rewarded, not punished.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

I don't plan on getting Tidal tbh so I won't listen to it anytime soon...the way they want me to. I'm sure I'll find blogs that stream tracks. I hope Tidal releases the exact number of new users because of Lemonade and hopefully they don't lie about it.

It's just such a big contradiction. Do you want people to see the message or not?

You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.

You can sign up for a free month.  Then cancel before the next month kicks in and starts charging you.

I support her decision. She has nothing to lose. I think it will help the company out. Fine by me. I support black owned businesses. I hope Tidal is successful.

"Streaming exclusively" could mean that it will still be available elsewhere for download and/or on CD, and it's just the streaming that's exclusive to Tidal. Maybe?

Aren't they promoting piracy with this? I don't plan to sign up and pay this company to listen to any album in streaming. I like to OWN music, have the songs (files) on my phone, record them on CDs when I need to make a copy for my car, etc. That's why you pay for a CD! They're destroying the feeling of buying a new album. And destroying how the charts used to work. Now they'll get a platinum based just on streamings, and counting those accounts that use a free trial. Disgusting. That's not how I like the industry to work. If they wanted people to buy their music they just had to make it affordable. 17,99 for an album is just too much and I can get the same HIFI quality they offer from a CD that it's the same price. Tidal is really one of the messiest things that has ever happened to music.

Well that's unfortunate for many :emma: I'll stick with the copy I have then it seems :S I don't think it'll get noticed as much if it's a Tidal exclusive, I think @elijahfan worded it perfectly the other day with an example about how people got over Feelin' Myself without taking a second glance, if people don't have access to something then they'll just move on
