Quark 7,098
o<(0_0)>o During Gaga's absence in the music scene, I have remembered that Gaga makes some of the best melodies in music. For the past two years many artists have released good albums in the sense of production, lyrics, and even creativity. But I notice that most of these artists releasing good album always lack good memorable melodies and choruses (ANTi, Lemonade, and pretty much most albums released these days are good examples of this). When Gaga releases an album you are pretty much guaranteed great melodies from beginning to end. Her songs, even at her most experimental and abstract are always memorable because they always pack amazing melodies.

Red 97,985
YAS I couldn't agree more! The melodies she created add so much depth to the song, for example, how Bad Romance has happy and uplifting instrumental and lyrics however the melody she made for it gives you a impression of a sad song. It's hard to explain If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
Quartz 12,535
She does, doesn't she? Melody has always been the strong point of her songs. Poker face chorus, Bad Romance, DWUW, the list goes on. She's ingenious but it's the melody of her songs that really made me notice her and stuck with her in the first place. That's why it was a pleasant surprise for me that Heavy Metal Lover wasn't that melodious but it is so well liked because of the production. I love melodious Gaga and heavy produced Gaga so no war here Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

Gardevoir 9,822
Her melodies are memorable indeed. I mean melodies from Dance In The Dark, from Monster, from Bloody Mary etc. are just examples. She also have amazing details in her songs like Intro of Monster, "dddd" in Dance In The Dark, gregorian Chant in Bloody Mary's bridge, Born This Way intro, aboriginal sounds from Highway Unicorn. The list goes on and on. I noticed that it's pretty common these days for hit to have really simple instrumental, which in case of Gaga doesn't exist at all. Sugar, spice, and everything nice. Yeah production these days for the mainstream hits is pretty minimalistic. That's not a bad thing but I miss that fuller, well rounded, pounding production that sets a one-time hit apart from a classic. Gaga is the only artist I know whose songs have productions that are never underwhelming and who can fill the speakers with amazing depth. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.
