I believe her best record is ARTPOP and especially the title track. When a ship sinks, you can say shits about it more easily. Thats what happened with ARTPOP. Apart the first 4 songs on the Fame, all the other are totally forgettable tunes and sound quite boring today.

ARTPOP s opening track Aura is great song, also Venus, Guy and Applause are great tracks. Some may say overproduced but the whole essence of album is a psychedelic night in the club. Dope is one of a kind song for gagas discography. Mary Jane Holland has great production single worthy.

If ARTPOP sold 5millions you would all praise it to heavens.

I'm sorry, but I believe it is equal to her previous albums. And all of her albums have cringeworthy lyrics. It is not something singled out to ARTPOP. ARTPOP has many great lyrics as well.

And that does not make it unenjoyable. People can enjoy music without everything else.

I'm just now listening to music released in 2004 and 2008. And I have music even older than that, so I think that argument is not only null an void, but completely stupid.

And no, BTW has some ok lyrics but the ones on ARTPOP are a total CRINGE fest. dont even get me started on quoting them all, because I'd never finish. also like half ARTPOP uses reycled productions

It's such a narrow view of how female artists should present themselves and their work. I mean, sometimes Gaga's explanations puzzle me, but I love that she explains why she did something (like that segment she did on Sirius XM that explained each track on ARTPOP). Even if she might come off pretentious to some, her points are often interesting and thought provoking. It's like these people would rather have a Jennifer Lawrence type who sits around and talks about her favorite food & her farts. Or just only sing about partying, sex, and relationships in a very conventional way.

I mean there are no lies. She is a pop legend, I wish she acknowledged that and celebrated that. Her career could be hard but she created legendary fantasy with her TF(M) and part of the other albums. why biggest talents always have to have so many issues? While basics just go for it and get praise.

Yes, but here's the thing, you mentioned the ERA, and how it was handled. I don't need a f*ucking era to enjoy music.  There doesn't need to be music videos or high fashion or anything. I just need music. There's nothing else I need. Please don't turn around and agree with me if you're going to use the "the era sucked so the music sucks" argument.

Yes, but the the good lyrics outweigh the bad, unless you want to take an entire song and album completely serious. Though Venus, Donatella, and whatever other songs you'd want to mention are probably not to be taken seriously. This argument would be much better if you were, I don't know, talking about The Fame Monster, which had a lot of serious songs. or were ment to be taken seriously.

And what's wrong with using something that you've used before? I've drawn things I've drawn before. I've recycled. I've reused lyrics. I've rewritten sh!t. I see nothing wrong with Aura being bought from other artists or Zedd and Madeon reusing their old crap. That doesn't make it automatically awful. Plus, Gaga saw something in these instrumentals, and wanted to use them.

And if I remember correctly, people were PRAISING Gaga like a goddamn Goddess for reusing Earthquake in FoHL.
