XoXoJoanneGaga 629
Some pretty good and obvious points in there but their insinuation that ARTPOP was experimental is completely off base. Swine and Aura do stick to the conventional pop song structure as well so I'm not sure where they got that idea. Agreed on the "all killer no filler" though. Chuckles 2,549
I think one of the biggest reasons Gaga has been quiet about the album is reason #4: Deliver on the promises you make. This way we will be excited about her surprises!
Bitter 3,640
great article. it sums up pretty much everything that everyone says since ARTPOP. I hope Gaga takes some notes.

I mean, does she have to take everything so seriously, and attach meaning to every single thing she creates? Can't things just BE? I absolutely HATE when people say **** like this. It's basically that "shut up and sing!" type of mentality that people have about popstars - but mostly female artists of any sort. This also implies she should have no ambition, no self-assurance, just let the happy pop tunes happen and have no opinion about it, and infer no real meaning at all. Zsolti 2,688
No lies. Please correct me if I make any grammar mistakes, I want to master English as much as possible.

13VictorC 1,102
I just don't agree with number 7. What I love the most about Gaga is her depth.

Yes, this annoyed me the most about the article. You don't get many people telling Kanye to shut up about his art. They tell him to shut up about a lot of things, but they would never silence his art. I think there's inherent sexism in the expectation that female pop stars should just "shut up and sing." Which is exactly why I want Gaga to keep layering her art with all kinds of subtext and talking about it in interviews. Because it's a hell of a lot more interesting than her talking about her engagement or her dogs. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!! Dominic 11,922
A lot of these things have been said countless times on here and I kinda agree about Gaga not having to attach meaning to everything, it would be nice to see her just 'be' without the whole depth behind it sometimes. We don't need to be given a songs back story to appreciate it, we can form our own ideas similar to how TFM worked. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
PopThatArt 2,193
No. No. No. No. No. Yes. No. Music is about reinvention, ARTPOP wasn't reinvention of any kind, or as the writer of the article say "reinventing the wheel". True artists always reinvent themselves, they don't coast by, and what this person is suggesting Gaga do, is exactly what she did with ARTPOP, coast along, creating what is trendy, what the it pop sound is at the moment. NO. Go see A Star is Born

I agree with the promises thing. I hope she knows that she can't do everything at once, and keep silent about what she's doing to impress... #LG5 Embrace mainstream. OH HELL NO! GagaMyBlood95 9,915
I agree on some stuff they said, on some I don't.. Like to follow the mainstream music, that's just not Gaga.. Everyone else should follow her tbh. I agree to be consistent. iconic music videos definitely, and as many as possible, we need good visuals this time around!
