SamJ 8,008
I feel like Britney reached her peak in 2011 / 2012 during her femme fatale era this era was very successful and the music was so fresh and cool sounding this was the direction music was going in Britney was still the trendsetter. She was producing popular club bangers and the end of 2012 she reached her peak with Scream And Shout with Will I Am Scream and shout was massive here its such an iconic Britney song for a couple of years after scream and shouts release people were still singing Britney's lines all the time. Just hearing her singing when we're up in the club all eyes on us in such a brave bold funny posh English accent it was like all eyes were truly back on her and she was so pleased to be the Queen of pop at the time or at least one of the princesses. Dont get me wrong I loved Britney Jean and work bit** and i love pretty girls too but she was just so popular in 2011 and 12 and on a great run. She was young, pretty, having big hits every few months and she was still the coolest name in pop after 12 years of being in the industry or 2nd to gaga of course. Does everyone agree with me about 2011/12 being her peak? Rolling Stones called her the new queen of pop in 2011 http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/introducing-the-queen-of-pop-20110629

nativenewyorker 1,190
The last time she was seen as cool and loved by nearly everyone was Toxic. Seriously. I'd say she peaked around 2003 and from there has been on the decline. Sure Womanizer was a hit along with others, but her breakdown caused irreparable damage to her image and career. It hasn't been the same since.

MAC 1,942
She has had great success in later years for sure but her real peak was maybe 2002 unless you are talking about tabloid fame I guess. In that way her peak is 2007/2008

How rude! It's not rude, it's the truth. I literally stopped reading after that. it's like saying that Gaga's peak was cheek to cheek. A sucessful era for sure but nothing close to her actual peak aka 2009-11.
DiscoHeaven23 35,007
Peaked in 2003/2004 Then it seems like she had this period in 2011/2012/2013 when she was universally hailed as a legend. Then Britney Jean happened...

But in 2011 and 2012 Britney was a lot more popular and relevant with the public then gaga was in her cheek to cheek era or even ARTPOP era so it is not like saying gagas popularity peak was during the cheek to cheek era.
