I hope she gives the VMA's and MTV in general the finger, they don't deserve her, the amount of times they've snubbed her for noms and awards. The show gets worse and worse every year so better not to be involved with them.

The VMAs don't deserve Gaga. As it was said before they've snubbed her for so many awards/nominations and if they had let her stick with her original plan in 2013 I honestly think it would be up there with 2009 VMA performance as one of her most iconic, plus it would be more of the spotlight on her (maybe get more people interested in ARTPOP) and it would have definitely boost the VMAs ratings. But I think she'll stay with them because she grew up watching the most iconic moments happen on there

but I believe if they give her freedom, she can save the VMAs

But scripted celebrity drama is no match for the actual exciting moments and performances provided by artists like Gaga, Britney, Madonna, Beyonce and way more in previous years. The lineup was awful, I wouldn't say there was "tons" of relevant performers... They had no one who was massive at that point imo. It launched Justin's era so he wasn't a huge star at that point, Nicki was awkwardly hanging on the end of her era etc. Miley as host was pretty fun but she wasn't in the middle of anything big either. The Weeknd was the only one and his performance was a non-event. Then you're left with like... Demi Lovato, twenty one pilots and Tori Kelly... Compare it to the 2011 lineup lol. It's quite easy to see how last year's show was so lacklustre. 

2011's star lineup was obviously better, but think of someone major who released new music last year and wasn't there. Taylor Swift was there, she didn't perform her own songs but she was a highlight, Nicki was there, I only watched the performances so I wouldn't know how well Miley hosted, Kanye's speech was oddly entertaining though.

Demi and The Weeknd may have not been as huge as Gaga or Beyonce but they're still quite popular among the music industry so I was willing to compromise a bit.

I just hope this year's VMAs gonna be much more interesting, Britney, Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna, Zayn, Ariana all have relevant material to perform there.

Yeah there is a lot more room for big stars to appear this year. I pray Gaga's era has started by then anyway lol. I hope Beyonce will actually promote properly this time too, although her last VMA performance was great. Maybe even Adele?
