ARTPOP Is Full Of Trap Influences

those songs mentioned are trap influenced and you're excluding Donatella (near the end it uses the same sound heard on "ratchet")

The trap style snare drums and hi hats are included all throughout the song in Applause. This trap influence makes sense considering DJWS produced it. As far as Venus and Guy, their buildups before their drops are also the usual trap sound and structure.

Most people call Jewels N Drugs the odd song from ARTPOP since is the only full trap song. But in reality ARTPOP has more Trap than you think. First, MANiCURE is full of trap influence all throughout the song and specially its the end. Next, Applause"s beat is also trap influenced since its uses snare drums typical of trap drum beats. And finally both Venus and GUY have the typical trap sounding buildups that you find in most modern trap songs. So, my point is basically that people think Gaga wanted to cash in one trendy trap sounding song since at the time trap was rising to mainstream, but in reality Gaga included a Trap undertones all throughout the album.

What drugs are you on? G.U.Y build up is the most 2000-pop thing Lady Gaga has ever done along its breakdown. Venus' one takes shades of electropop  and house but no trap can be seen. MANiCURE is, basically, a pop-rock hit circa 2007 when Avril Lavigne was the most succesful pop girl but the deep, raspy vocals make it seem as if it was a moody trap song. Not even Jewels N'Drugs is full trap and THANK GOD it isn't. ARTPOP isn't as good as I expected, but it's above average and it's great. I couldn't have stood a trap album

You are correct in everything you said. Their general sound is exactly what you described. I am just talking about very specific parts of the songs which are indeed trap influenced.

Is not just the outro. If you pay attention all throughout the song you hear these trap snares within the general rock/pop beat.

riiiiiight... I feel like you need to do some research into what trap is. And even if these instances were correct, it hardly means that ARTPOP is "full" of trap influences.

There's no trap.

i think cake, ratchet and red flame would've been closer to that trap sound though. I actually would've embraced a more urban sound for ARTPOP initially.

If by now you don't see the obvious trap influences than you are probably the one that needs to do some research on trap music. And the fact that there is at least 5 songs containing these influences is enough for me to say "full".

Just go back and listen to the radio or take a quick look at the charts. There is plenty of trap everywhere.
