How do we get ARTPOP's REAL current WW sales?

I'm over it underperforming, but BB has only been updating it's sales in the U.S. (currently 757k slayyy) but, how do we get the sales WW? What are they?

The range some people will claim is ridiculous. Some say 1.95M, others say 3.3M, and everything in between. It's ridiculous. Who do we need to contact in order to get its real sales (aka, how many copies have people bought?).

Arizona Sky

It crossed 2M pure sales in September 2015. The other figures are with streams + shipments.

Get a physical ARTPOP CD, measure it with a ruler. Add your age, multiply by the number of times you visited this website. Exponentially raise it by the number of critics who praised it divided by the number of haters out there. +666 Million.

I think that's a rough estimate, but ARTPOP can mean anything.

Nope, keep dreaming.

Also the only way we'll get her official WW PURE SALES is if her label updates her sales or certifications. You can try e-mailing someone, because the Britney stans emailed her manager or someone from her label and they gave them all of her current sales for each album.

Hmm...well the case is about 6 inches on the longer side so....

6 + 21 = 27
27 X 65,287 = 1,762,749
1,762,749^~500 = 1.2451982104789416432996757976949e+3123
.2451982104789416432996757976949e+3123 ÷ 2 1/2 (Perez, Paws Down, Rob Fusari unless he wants something) = 4.9807928419157665731987031907797e+3122
4.9807928419157665731987031907797e+3122 + 666,000,000 = 4.9807928419157665731987031907796e+3122

So 4.9807928419157665731987031907796e+3122 copies sold :gaycat: not a flop anymore :woot:

Lord Temptation

Let's work this out together Monsters!

I say we measure the sales for each country and then add up the countries sales. The old tradition of taking a big problem and dividing it into smaller problems, and then synthesising everything.

Based on the Wikipedia article I added up the most reliable data for the following countries US, UK, Canada, Japan, Italy, Brazil, France, Argentina and Mexico.

The subtotal for these 9 countries is already 1.5 million.

Now, the Wikipedia has two problems: missing information and inaccurate (ie outdated) information.

Let me address these.

For example, some big countries are not shown like Australia. How do we know what it sold in Australia? Well, the album debuted at Number 2 on the ARIA charts. It dropped rapidly in the following weeks. In order to be certified Gold it must've sold 35,000 copies (like Cheek to Cheek did in 2014). It is not unreasonable to assume that, considering that Cheek to Cheek's highest place was Number 7, that because ARTPOP debuted higher, that it must be close to a Gold certification. Remember that it's been 2.5 years so the cumulative sales, even if low, will have added up. Therefore, we estimate sales of approximately 30,000 in Australia.

Also, according the the Wikipedia article, ARTPOP sold 200,000 in Japan but only 4,000 in Korea!!! And the source for the reference is from an article from 2013!!! That's not suspicious much is it??!!! Lets adjust that in line with logic. We estimate sales in South Korea of 100,000. in line with sales in Japan.

So, by updating the information for just two countries (Australia and South Korea) we have already recovered 130,000 in missing sales data.

Already we have a minimum subtotal of 1.63 million copies

What can we extrapolate?

Well, let us make the plausible assumption that the sales in USA make up 30% of all sales worldwide. This in fact is not even an assumption, but a known statistic:

http://www.statista.com/topics/1639/music/

Therefore 70% of sales are outside the US.

Hence, 0.3*(WW sales) = 760,000

This is simple algebra for us to get the WW sales. A bit of rearranging gives us WW sales = 760,000/0.3 = 2.53 million copies globally.

Did you read that correct Monsters?! ARTPOP has sold 2.53 million copies worldwide. And that is based on actual data and the known observation that US sales are 30% of worldwide sales.
