She doesn't have to but for her to be counted in next year's Grammy's she must release her album by September. But don't take my word for it, she probably won't care and just release it after that deadline. Or maybe she'll release it earlier, but I doubt that. We were spoiled in the first 5 years of her career, artists have no obligation to deliver albums as frequently as popstars today release them; it's just in the past decade where singers and bands and groups have been releasing albums so frequently because of simpler production techniques and having producers and songwriters on call and less artist involvement in albums. They're all going to go to Adele next year, Gaga will be better waiting to release her album after the deadline so it's considered for the 2018 grammys instead. Good point this really leads me to think the lead single will come atleast a month or 2 before September, I'd say July!
