Does Rita Ora still have a shot at becoming a mainstream artist?

Rita Ora has been hyped globally, has UK chart topping singles, successful debut album ranking her #1 on the UK albums list, selling over 41K first week. Rita's success with singles didn't become a thing until she collaborated with Iggy Azalea and charted on the BBHot100 for the very first time in the US. She's attending various award shows such at the MTV VMAs, Oscars, BET Awards, Grammy's, etc. With the amount of promo she has been given in the US you'd think she'd be able to officially have a mainstream career and recording breaking, chart topping singles. The only time she's been in a negative light is when ASAP dissed her & when she had an alleged beef with Rihanna. With even more massive promo, do you think Rita Ora has a chance at becoming a mainstream artist?

Phew I agree, I mean, she was making headlines around the time Minaj released Starships and that was during a time Minaj was globally loathed. People thought of AB as "the next biggest thing in rap" the fact that Kanye West endorsed her around 2011 AND her music was being played at Fashion shows in such an early stage of her career meant that she was heading to big places.

In terms of mainstream success I really doubt it. She's alienated mainstream audiences too much. It would take a massive PR overhaul and I don't even think Azealia wants that tbh. She'd rather people hate or love her for who she is than smile through her teeth & pretend to be something she's not.

Part of the reason I like her is bc she's so real. Me and my friends talk crazy **** like her all the time - tons of people do. It's weird that when you're a public figure people expect you to be super PC

Well, a past never leaves you.  It all depends how severe it was.  I think she will have her fan base but not Gaga status or below.  If she comes around and does some good to prove otherwise, then yes she surely does have a chance to be at the top of her game.
