wow such a tremendous difference

"lets kill this animal and get x, y and z from it" vs "lets kill this animal and get z from it".

"omg i totally justify the first option because you get x and y, not just z, so much better, definitely not animal cruelty.

I smell bullshit.

I am totally for wearing fur though, just stating that your logic is weird

I stated "some people get so upset..." I never said the opinion was mine. I dislike the use of both fur and leather (as stated in my OP).

Sounds like some people just want to start an argument. Not gonna bait.

I think it's contradicting to shame someone for wearing fur / promoting the death of animals. It's like religion. Hypocritical. I try to be as level-headed as possible with Gaga because I truly love and respect her.

I totally agree that it is contradicting. I try to understand where Gaga comes from in a lot of situations. I don't agree or like that she gets fillers injected to her face because I think she is an extremely beautiful woman without it but at the same time I don't know how she feels inside. She's human and is vulnerable like any of us and she's still beautiful even with the fillers.

“The Kermit the Frog outfit is by an incredible designer by the name of Jean[-Charles] de Castelbajac, and he does a lot of museum art fashion pieces. … I really loved this one in particular because I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, ’cause I hate fur and I don’t wear fur. We were all laughing in the house about how it looks like a pile of dead Kermits.”

I am aware. People change. It's funny how people spend a lot of time trying to proof Gaga as a hypocrite.

"I thought she said love yourself and you're set, but she's getting injections in her lips and enhancing her cheek bones! That's so not Born This Way of her!"

"Gaga said she didn't need to buy a house in You and I, but she bought a fancy place in Malibu... she's changing... she's turning into one of THOSE celebrities!"

** Let it go **

As humans we are naturally selfish and born imperfect. There is no human being in the world that is a pure good soul. We all do things that are good or bad. Lady Gaga is biased when it comes to animals just like I am. I love and respect vegans since a lot of my friends are but vegans aren't perfect neither. Yeah they don't kill animals but not every vegan is a liberal humanitarian. I had a co worker that was a vegan but also very religious and supported boycotts with same sex marriage. Every human being is different and we all do things that we aren't supposed to do. Priests aren't perfect neither. We all have the freedom to judge people but we should also realize that some people that we judge aren't going to change their mind.

The world would be a better, more accepting place if we all thought like this. Spill that tea.

I don't think they were trying to say one is ok while the other isn't, just that one is the lesser of two evils :awkney:

She can do whatever the hell she wants with her face/body/fashion/music/life. But wearing fur is promoting an industry that kills animals just for their skin, and there have been too many isolated incidents where animals are completely tormented and/or skinned alive. It's despicable and inexcusable.

Y'all that are complaining at us calling her out... she is a PUBLIC FIGURE with a lot of influence, her buying clothes like that is basically on par to her holding a sign claiming she 100% supports animals experiencing unimaginable pain and suffering for a piece of clothing (especially when there are designers who make similar pieces using faux fur).

And it's not exactly the same as wearing leather (though I'm vegan and 100% don't support animals being killed for food or clothing) - the difference with leather is that it is a byproduct of the meat industry. As long as people eat cows, there is going to be a ton of skin left over... and whilst the ideal situation is no cows are killed at all, I see no use in throwing their skin away.

**** gaga... it's 2016. She's not stupid. Either unaware or extremely ignorant. Really disappointed in her. :(
