I hate that she wears fur AND leather (how about that?). But I think the reason people get so upset about the fur is that animals are killed SOLELY for their fur whereas leather is the cow's skin. It was already butchered for food so they're using ALL of its resources instead of letting it go to complete waste. 

There's a lot of nice vegan leather out there as an alternative.

I still love her. She's human, and I cannot expect her to be "perfect" in every way possible.

I guess people that approve of fur and leather are the ones that only care about animals when it's their own. So disappointing.

As humans we are naturally selfish and born imperfect. There is no human being in the world that is a pure good soul. We all do things that are good or bad. Lady Gaga is biased when it comes to animals just like I am. I love and respect vegans since a lot of my friends are but vegans aren't perfect neither. Yeah they don't kill animals but not every vegan is a liberal humanitarian. I had a co worker that was a vegan but also very religious and supported boycotts with same sex marriage. Every human being is different and we all do things that we aren't supposed to do. Priests aren't perfect neither. We all have the freedom to judge people but we should also realize that some people that we judge aren't going to change their mind.

She is a good person at heart. The fact that she wears the skins of tortured animals contradicts this entirely. No animal deserves to have it's skin ripped off to make a coat. WAKE UP GAGA.

I love this post. Respectfully disagreeing with her but also realizing she's human and not perfect. I remember when she wore fur in 2012 and some vegans in the comment section of an article were calling her barbaric and saying she should commit suicide  but there are amazing vegans like you that disagree with her wearing fur and leather but also realize she's human but still has good intentions.

"lets kill this animal and get x, y and z from it" vs "lets kill this animal and get z from it". 

"omg i totally justify the first option because you get x and y, not just z, so much better, definitely not animal cruelty.

I think it's contradicting to shame someone for wearing fur / promoting the death of animals. It's like religion. Hypocritical. I try to be as level-headed as possible with Gaga because I truly love and respect her.

I agree. While it is indeed disappointing to see her endorse animal cruelty like this, it's her life and it's none of my business what she does. 

Sure, it'd be awesome if she were to be pro-animal rights, but no one is flawless. That doesn't excuse the fact that she is promoting animal cruelty to the millions of people watching her, but it is what it is. Maybe the next generation will be more considerate.
