There's the official announcment, from the Vatican. He was invited, not the other way around.

Placing in the OP as well.

I appreciate your dedication to proving this point. It's good to see that you are at least trying to figure it out.

Still, I don't see how this constitutes proof that he had nothing to do with getting invited. Even you should realize this. One official document created TODAY does not prove anything. There is nothing to prove who initiated contact, who requested what, and how it came to be. It just shows that Sanders is invited. Clearly, that's how it goes even if someone asked for the invite themselves. They need the official invitation.

Considering the organizer of the conference herself said that he asked to be invited through violation of protocols, and then got overridden by a senior Vatican official who may or may not have had something to do with organizing it behind the scenes, there's something sketchy going on. Even the chancellor you are quoting repeatedly declined to say who initiated the contact.

Anyway the entire point of my posts is that you should practice what you preach. That you so readily give the benefit of the doubt in this scenario while not doing it for others is quite telling.

I hope Bernie's visit with the Pope proves fruitful and is not just some political maneuver.

By the way I admire Bernie's political manipulations. I'm actually starting to think he has what it takes to be President.

He proves himself to be more and more of a politician everyday. Despite the fact that he claims to be otherwise, he is the same as all the rest of them. :)

A politician is a politician after all.

He played the part well on MSNBC yesterday. He said twice that he was going to meet the Pope. Not possible, unless Bernie is going to fly to Greece instead of attend this conference. Lol
