While it's nice that J Lo doesn't want to be a domestic housewife to her man, it's quite sexist to think that a mother's role is cooking and cleaning up. A mother can be a businesswoman who has other people clean and cook and still be a good mother. All in all, I don't like the song. Please... This is a reach. StrawberryBlond 14,882
Jen, Jen, Jen...what happened to you? You used to have really good singles! But after that Love? album, the quality just went down the pan and you've never looked back. She's never been the best of singers and her songs aren't exactly Grammy material but they're so catchy and danceable and she keeps a Latin sound alive. If you want fun music, she's a great go-to. I think Love? is her best album, even though it was cashing in on the dance trend at the time. But it was also the end of her glory days. Lately, her material is just dire. This is one of the worst tracks she's ever released. There's very little lyrics in it, is so dated, so cliche and sounds like she's saying "I ate your mama." And isn't exactly the best song to release when she's dating a toyboy. It just makes us aware of her age even more (even though she looks fabulous). I can't believe Dr Luke wrote and produced this, it doesn't sound like his style. She needs to go back to her roots more, give us some of that Latin flavour where she shines or even some RnB, not this dated pop stuff. I don't why she's making this style when it no longer is what's in. I also hope she made it before the Dr Luke case. I hope she's not supporting him. 4 hours ago, Pop said: This is one of those songs that is supposed to be feminist, but actually comes off as sexist. It also relies on that awful stereotype of women being nothing but nagging nancies and men being nothing but lazy wasters who aren't pulling their weight at home. Whenever I hear these songs, I always feel like I'm seeing it from the guy's perspective. They're just so smug and unlistenable.
