I think it's interesting that Sanders supporters are so vehemently and vocally against the other Democrat instead of against the Republican candidates, one of whom will be the Republican candidate and none of whom want to do something about racism, sexism or homophobia. 

Right now the candidates are fighting each other to secure the nomination for their party, which means attacking their own team more than the real opposition, sadly.

Sanders is running against Clinton in a primary right now, that is why Sanders supporters are vocal about their dislike of Clinton. If Sanders wins the primary the attention of his supporters will switch to whomever he is then running against. Primary first, general next. One step at a time.
