Think about it, if you are upset that Gaga (or Madonna, whomever) didn't get this award keep in mind that they have won many, many other awards that recognize their contributions to the industry. Does it really matter that they didn't win this specific award? Think about how many awards must be given out in music every year. I would imagine dozens and dozens and dozens. Maybe less than half are actually prestigious. I think everyone, Taylor, Madonna, Gaga, etc, has quite a few of those awards lining their shelves. And none of those artists are going anywhere, there's still time for them to win many more (which they will). If you are upset because you think BMI made a mistake, well I'm sorry to say, there's nothing that can be done about it. They felt Taylor deserved her own special award. It just is what it is. Being outraged isn't going to change the situation. There's nothing that any of us can say or do to get them to change their minds, and I don't think you can even campaign for this. Let Taylor have her award and let her fans celebrate in peace, and keep in mind that there is always next year for other artists you think might be more deserving.
