I don't think we as a fanbase shouldn't complain about her getting a lot of recognition, in fact, we should be happy about that. After ARTPOP didn't have such good reviews and all that makes it even more incredible how Gaga can turn this industry all around. 

I'm happy that Gaga is doing what she loves, we shouldn't put such pressure on her, LG5 will come this year, now let her enjoy her "free" time.

Idk I just don't like how she doesn't bother to talk to us anymore unless it's her thanking us for winning an award or something. She used to talk to us all the time and now she only does in those instances. I know she doesn't haaaave to but since she built her livelihood on that relationship it just seems odd she would completely abandon it at current time.

No, I've never found that she owes me something. Read the first post again. I'm not asking her to give me everythong right now but i'd like to have some clues about the album. I can wait for the music, I'm not that desperate.

While waiting I guess the best thing I could do was to listen to other artists' new works. I remember in the past artists took YEARS to make an album, sometimes even a decade. I guess we're lucky to get one every few years, BUT I must agree this waiting sucks.  Plus the longer it is it's going to slowly hurt her comeback popularity.

On the positive note she has released quite some material already in her near a decade-long career for me to indulge in and overplay whilst waiting for the new material. I guess it doesn't hurt much for me too because I'm currently enlisted for conscription with much lesser free time now. Also maybe she just wants to surprise us, if she lets loose too much info we won't be surprised. I hope it's really worth the wait

tbh OP, your post (and edit) do come off as really entitled. I get where you're coming from, and many other people here totally know how you're feeling, and I get that you're frustrated people are being rude to you, but in reality your post was pretty insensitive to Gaga. Like...you give this HUGE list of things ANY other artist would kill to accomplish, and then go on to get mad because our girl isn't tweeting lyrics.  

She doesn't want the focus to be on music now- she wants the media to focus on her other achievements. Doing so is establishing her as a legitimate artist with legitimate talent, and that's more important to her image long-term than sharing the date of her next album release. Technically, focusing on this stuff is hyping her BETTER for LG5 and making it MORE likely for LG5 to be successful because it's opening her up to a wider audience who will defend her talents.

Gaga is getting the praise she fought her whole life/career to receive- it's okay to let her enjoy it, to let her experience appreciation without having to defend herself, and to let her do something that is for her instead of breaking her hip for her fans. 

She deserves it, and I think we should be supportive and patient. She's been so supportive and patient of us for how many years now? I mean, how many times does this girl have to stick up for us, work hard for us, and treat us nicely every single time one of us approaches her with sad stories about our lives before we all ACTUALLY start returning the favor?

We see this thread so often on this site. I wish we could all just be patient and understanding of Gaga.

She worked her ass off in her 20s. Let her have a little bit of time to celebrate and enjoy where she is at now. I will almost guarantee that this wait will give us even more powerful music and albums to listen to in the future. 

So true. In her 20s she was traveling the world and topping the charts while the rest of us were struggling through exam season in college. She was establishing herself as someone who would be remembered for decades while we were trying to see if our crush would remember us next week. 

If the girl wants to sit back and let the awards for her hard work just flow in, ****, let her.

I've never complained about any info she's given us, but she kind of hyped her previous works a lot, like "this is the album of the millenium!!!" and I don't want that. I'd like to have a title, 2 or 3 verses of a song, a tweet "studio time" or whatever. 

The last time she was talking about the "album of the decade" and hyping something it didn't go so well. 

Considering the way she was treated when she spoke highly of BTW and AP, do you really expect her to go hyping stuff again? We gave her **** when she called BTW the "album of the decade" or something like this, we gave her **** when she over-hyped ARTPOP, and now we're giving her **** for giving very little hype and focusing on other important things. 

Note: Other artists who wait between albums usually don't produce even half the news Gaga has been getting in the waiting period, yet Gaga STILL gets **** because she's not hyping us enough.

This criticism I do agree with. There was something so appealing and interesting about Gaga's intentional manipulation of the Pop world. The whole beginning of her career was like one big performance art piece, and I truly miss watching her gears turn as she figured out how to make Pop Culture her bitch. 

However, on the other hand, she's also contributing to bringing real talent and art to the forefront in music, which is infinitely more beneficial and important, so I'm not complaining about how she handles herself now. It'd just be nice to see that very calculated pop sensation Gaga again for something because she was so fascinating and had so many layers to her image.

Great point! Never thought of that, but yeah- the moment you start giving information out other artists jump on it. No doubt there are people out there who would take advantage of Gaga and try to upstage her. She doesn't need to encourage that kind of competition and send the competitors into a frothing mess.

And if you think stans actually make that much of a difference, look at Rihanna's album sales- we all know that girl isn't rolling in stans, but her singles sell like hotcakes and everyone knows her. The general public is what actually matters when it comes to success in music and presence in the media, because the bulk of album sales are from casual listeners and the bulk of articles written come from people who are reporting on what the artist is doing, not what the fans think/feel.

Of course we're all waiting for the new album, but she's recording it. I mean, after everything that she has done and achieved during her "Hollywood era", she could be resting or taking a year off to just enjoy life but instead of that she's in the studio working on the album. She does so many things at once and I don't think we should push her. She can take the time she wants and needs because it's her work.

Yes, I also want to listen to the album but I do other stuff in my life that I really don't even think about Gaga all day. The album will come when it's time.

Yes.

Like I said in my other post, I wasn't asking for music or for Gaga to give us anything or to hurry up with her new album at all. That being said, there are thousands of insanely talented and creative people around the world that don't get as much attention as Gaga. The thing that separates Gaga from those people are her fans (not to say she isn't unique in her own right).

But for real, I didn't see her thank her fans/you mods for the gift that GGD gave her. That did come off to me as a little rude, but then again maybe she said thanks behind closed doors? Idk, I get where to OP is coming from even though I don't agree completely.
