I think on Jimmy Fallon she meant that in big productions and papers she would get very nervous at auditions, but she did lots of theatre work before. So what is the truth? she was going to audition for Julliard with Piano, but enrolled in the Drama school of Tisch instead. Later she auditioned for acting roles but had trouble with auditions, but decided to drop out of drama school and pursue music. There is nothing contradictory.
