Ι enjoyed it more than I expected. I'd love one more jazz album before christmas time.

I love it! :flutter: The live performances  I live for them! Gaga never ceased to amaze the past 2 years despite the mishaps before and during ARTPOP.

:giveup::giveup: Very few performances before CTC era can stand up to this. Sorry, it's true. I loved her for the art and the show, the wow factor. But after this, she put a simle elegant classy gown/a dress and show these pipes.

It's amazing,

Spoiler

:stalkga: But some GaGa & Bennett written jazz songs would of been good too.

My sister works singing at jazz bars/with a local jazz band and has a lot of contacts in the community. Whilst there were a few salty folks who were kinda pissed gaga was getting so much praise and attention for something they do all the time, the general consensus seem to agree that it was a good album, not anything extraordinary or spectacular, but GOOD, considering gaga's status as a 'pop' singer and Tony's longevity/age. I know an incredible musician (he is literally a prodigy @ jazz piano/clarinet) and he says her version of Lush Life is one of the best he's ever heard... and I trust his opinion. Though he saw them perform in the US and said the show wasn't great. Overall, a great move on Gaga's part. Kind of reminded me of what Freddie Mercury did on Barcelona (not same genre but...)

I love the arrangments for

Nature Boy (and they're singing), Anything Goes, I can't give you anything (my biggest surprise)-

Sophisticated Woman, Lush Life were brilliant performances, also But Beautiful

I only don't like what they did in I won't dance and It don't mean a thing.

It's a brilliant album and much needed. It's amazing how music that's been recorded countless times found a way to be relevant.

I want another jazz album, because there's still things they could have done better. She's a musician, this isn't just a card you play and it's over. That's so reductive of little monsters, to say. Musicians like to do music and record it.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Yes that's the consensus on the community. The people that actually love jazz won't listen to the album though. But jazz needs new life, and they didn't go for a Diana Krall smooth jazz. Jazz music was much alive in the 90s and even early 2000's.

I don't consider them jazz singers though. Not Gaga nor Tony Bennett, that's just the media trying to simplify things to sell.

Definitely! It's amazing. And the choice of songs was so good. The only one I don't care much for is Let's face the music and dance

Yes, it's a fantastic album. Gaga's vocals are amazing and you can tell that she and Tony had so much fun recording it.
