Gaga is aiming for acclaim and quality instead of sales and views

I think she's going Beyonce/JT. Beyonce is one of the most respected pop artists in the industry but if you look at her singles, they don't perform as well as Katy Perry, Rihanna or Taylor Swift's. These are extremely radio-friendly singers. BEYONCE was a critically acclaimed album but Drunk in Love, XO, Haunted, Pretty Hurts were not as big as Roar, Wrecking Ball, Shake It Off, Dark Horse, Chandelier, etc.

Beyonce is an album seller though, she sells out stadium shows and is never deemed by critics or pop fans to be 'basic', which is a term occasionally associated with artists like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

Justin Timberlake has 9 Grammys, sold 1 million copies of The 20/20 Experience in its debut week, sold out stadium shows and is also one of the artists that is respected in the industry for the authenticity in his music.

 

I just have this feeling that Gaga doesn't want to be commercial anymore. She probably will still do extensive promotion for her singles/albums but I think the nature of her music will not be composed in the nature that appeals to each and everyone in the universe ala 1989, Prism (no shade). The fact that she enlisted Mark Ronson, Nile Rodgers, Elton John, Diane Warren as her collaborators is kind of a big hint that we shouldn't expect her to replicate her The Fame Monster or Born This Way appeal.

So what I'm trying to say is that we shouldn't expect tons of #1s and videos with billions of views cause that's what Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift are good at.

Gaga prefers the party where Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars hang out at.

She can do something that has quality and reflects her artistry and is commercially successful at the same time. Idk why y'all are always making such a big deal out of it.

Don't come at me with your lame "but ARTPOP flopped" excuses because what ruined that era was the bad choices and management. The music was great and artistry was good.

JT is a chart king Mirrors was number 1 for weeks here. Bey is popular but not on the radio. I just want gaga to be popular again and on the radio more again I want her to have big hits but number 1s dont mean anything its all about longevity and getting those top 10s
