Fiona Apple 13,006 Posted April 1, 2016 Share Posted April 1, 2016 I found this comment that explains her video! in the beginning everyone is running after her, it symbolizes the time when all the people around the world on every social media were talking **** about her and just bombarding her with mean tweets and memes and videos and just coming after her. she keeps seeing girls that look like her with blurry distorted faces because thats the iggy the world and the media is imposing onto her like here, you have to be THIS iggy. the album is called digital distortion basically means how people are writing her narrative for her and distorting who she really is. theyre all grafitting on the plane symbolizing all the hate and slander the world has stamped onto the iggy brand. her going through the xray machine thing at the airport symbolizes everyone criticizing her authenticity and her talent and her body. and at the end theyre forcing her to be the iggy the world makes her to be and she can't control it. lots of symbolism.
