Yes, I have seen The Hunting Ground. To me it's the same feeling. Maybe not to others. I would need to be hospitalized if I was robbed like DJWS just was. I really would. Why? I've invested hundreds, maybe thousands of hours into archiving and preserving digital and physical files. I really do own 30,000 + different Gaga related recordings. Also thousands more of other artists as well. Including live bootlegs that can never be recorded again. My dream job? The Library of Congress, if not the Haus, lol. So when things like data loss get spoken of, I feel just as bad, because it's something that can never be undone or gotten back. Maybe that speaks less of me as person, that I would place equivalent value to history and preservation as I would to my own body, but I feel that way about what I do. (Remember, this is only my opinion. I could be bassackwardly wrong to some of you.) Archiving and having resources to give and share with others is a large part of my nonworking life. Being the backup people always wished they had when it comes to Gaga's art. It's a great pastime, but's also proved to be needed in service of the fanbase. Hence the fabulous efforts of the partners at GagaVerse for helping my preservation dreams become a reality... But I digress. I will respectfully not challenge your opinions. I respect your right to the same free speech and entitlements that I might think I have. I leave this thread in peace, I have no beef with you... you are entitled to your opinions and beliefs. anyway... I hope poor DJWS gets his stuff back. But some things are better to keep to yourself or to word differently, especially when you know it's a controversial topic that plays with peoples emotions of experience. ♡ Now to the topic: I hope no one gets access to his things on his computer. Have you backed all of your files up on external hard drives? Do you have those hard drives in a fire safe or at a safe location other than where you live? I ask this because I have thousands of pictures that are very important to me, of people that were very close to me that have died. I made sure and make sure to back up all my pictures and files and I have those at three different locations. If something is that important to you, protect it! I honestly feel sorry for DJWS, but I don't get how the equipment gets stolen so fast. And we are probably not talking about small equipments but huge.. How many photographers were there?
