Like...in most courts, if you give something to someone you can't get it back :laughga: gifts are just that.

Is he the owner? Or does he still pay on it? If not, I don't think he has a case :laughga:

In the video she says the house is in his name, so he can legally evict her.

The house is under his name, he is the owner.

Gross. Who continues to live in a house paid for by your daughter's ex-boyfriend AFTER they've broken up? :awkney:

Actually I am not sure about how the laws in England are

but in America the law is quite clear on this matter.

A gift is not given with the intent for it to be returned i.e. an engagement ring/ wedding ring. Therefore he has no claim on the house if the mother can prove that it was given to her as a gift (this should be quite easy).

But it is a property/ land so not sure if the above applies. But she can have a tort case where she sues him for damages because the house was a gift and she now is homeless. Sue for the cost of the house lol

Well it's not exactly a 'gift'... The house is in his name so she's literally just living in a property owned by him. She doesn't technically have anything. It's more like a favour, lol.

And for that reason I don't blame him or think he's in the wrong with this? If anything, it's surprising that he allowed her to stay there for such a long time after he and Perrie broke up. If I was the mother I'd be feeling pretty awkward to still live in the house owned by my daughter's ex? Especially when they are seemingly on such bad terms. Also it's not like he's throwing out a poor, helpless woman... Her daughter is a successful pop-star too lol.

Lion Heart

It says that "...But she [Debbie is] buying a house with her boyfriend so she will be moving out once it completes."

So she's moving out of property that doesn't even belong to her in the first, anyway.

In the video it is stated that the property is still in his name. So clearly he purchased the house so that she could live there, but he was smart enough to not hand her the actual ownership.
