That stage is pretty bad, for an artist at her level. Looking at the videos, she is barely attempting to sing. Most mid-level artists put more effort into their concerts than Rihanna is doing on this tour.

I'm not saying it's a good stage but I think we need to give her some leeway in our judgment.

I don't think we should compare her stage set with Gaga's and other pop stars'. It's unfair how the media and us impose on her a 'must' to build an avant-garde stage just because she's a pop star. Male artists won't be judged if they build a stage like this, even if they are as huge as Rihanna. Why is Rihanna judged when she incorporates simplicity into her stage set when male artists are not? Also many of you are judging the stage based on pictures when it truly shines in videos.

Why wouldn't it be expected that Rihanna have a comparable stage to others at her level? I don't care if the other artists are male or female. 

Unfair? People expect a certain level when they go see a top tier artist. There is nothing unfair about expecting a well thought out and executed show with staging to match, from the top artists.

I watched videos of the tour and she incorporates projections, lights, lasers, a hanging bridge, movable parts, elevators, an inflatable and a curtain that drips foam. All elements which make the show a great first-level experience with a little of creativity.

Too bad some people here love judging a book by it's cover!
