I honestly don't believe Gaga would have had the artistic freedom she had on her debut if she was with him and his label rather than at Interscope. It was in the best interest for Gaga in the long run tbh

Doesnt this man ever get tired talking about this 24/7. The first time, which was a radio interview, was shocking and cool to know. It's been years now and he is still talking about it on magazines and now show interviews? We get it LA Reid, you effed up on letting Gaga go, but just like you let her go, it's time that you let this issue go

Don't we have the Marry The Night music video thanks to him though? Or am I wrong? :derpga:

I understand why Gaga hates money.

This is not really a reason to hate money.. he did not see any interesting music so she was dropped. Do you want him to hire her regardless of her bad music?

I'm glad that he dropped her. The Gaga we have now could have been much different.

In my messy era.

Bad music? Do you mean "Not commercial enough to make tons and tons of money?"

Because I think I heard him in an interview somewhere that he said he knew she had talents and wanted her to work for him, but when she sent him demos, it was when he was upset about something else and he wasn't in the mood of listening to them, so he rejected her immediately.

I watched Meghan in an interview talking about him positively, but all I can think of is money.

There are many, many good reasons to hate money if you're an artist with integrity. But if you're a businessperson, you'll never understand.

I think he's definitely learned his lesson with Meghan Trainor. I mean NO is literally an artistic change and Reid was patient with that.

Basically every music executive is only interested in if you can make money for them. If they only looked for good music and talent they would be broke because unfortunately talent doesn't always win. It's about marketability and image.

A person who spent millions on building a record label should care about money or he would be the most stupid person in the world and will lose everything he owns. The artist is going to a record label business so they can also do their own business and be successful so they are both doing the same wanting to succeed and have money witch is business? if you just want to be an artist, you can do art yourself and you wont need record labels. Gaga is one of the most famous women in the world why is she still with a record label?
