He can't release them for money

He can't release them for money

He can't release them for anything, she still owns them too. He cannot release them with out her permission, and you think she'll let him release old *new* music while shes on a hiatus?

*He cannot release Gaga's songs.

*Remember? She sued him and now he cannot release anything with her name on it.

*Close the thread please? It's just making people excited, or move it to the music sub-forum. This won't be Gaga related.

She countersued him regarding details of her contract.

Did you read both files from the lawsuits?

Actually, Fusari sued her, she only countersued. If you want to try to act all-knowing, at least have your facts right. You don't have to be so rude.

He can.

The whole thing was over who "made" her.

As a producer he owns the rights, Interscope does NOT own the rights to those songs as far as I know

I really wish they were her songs, but I won't get my hopes up because he legally can't.

Everyone stop fighting. Fusari has not updated his twitter. I have a feeling Interscope will stop Fusari but I wish he'd release Glitter and Grease, and Musicland.

But they are her songs, her name is on them no? He would need her permission.. it just seems like common sense.

Even though Rob is saying we'll get Glitter And Grease, I won't get my hopes up. It will be interesting to see what really happens.

I mean the song, won't be a Lady Gaga song. :toofloppy:

Looking back, that does look dumb.

Why do you think the producer owns the rights? The songwriter is the ultimate owner of copyrights on songs, so at best Fusari has shared rights. That doesn't give him sole right to decide to distribute. And Labels pay producers to make music... when Gaga left Def Jam, she had to get Def Jam to release the material so she could take it with her to a new label. Outside of the copyrights, there are also other contracts governing the rights of labels to exclusive rights to artist output. The chances of Fusari owning the rights to distribute are virtually nil unless someone messed up a contract.
