It has too. Recently I found a link for LoveGame, and it was in FULL HD (1080p). That was filmed way earlier than Bad Romance. I refuse to believe Gaga was dumb enough to let some rats film her later videos at a lower quality. Inspeakeble. Pull thru and release it on YT Gags 😩😩😩

If anyone has a link of BR in 720x1280p lemme know :green:

The video can be put on youtube at 1080p without being 1080p, however the video was not shot in HD, the love game version isn't real HD either. So there will never be a true HD Bad Romance.

That is not true. Have you checked out the cameras that they are shooting these? It's not like the use any handheld amateur crap. Those videos were shot with at least a 1080p resolution. How they were edited and published though, that's a whole different story.

Do you know that for sure? There wasn't a lot of HD in 2010.

thats true to some extend....you NEED to have at least one frame or clip that is in 1080p so youtube recognizes and raises the quality. I have used videos in 720p and uploaded them without having a 1080p video in it, and youtube only gets to the 720p quality. but if i include at least one frame of a 1080p video in the 720p, then the quality is raised to 1080p even if the video was shot in a lower quality, which to my experience, means that at least one part of BR had to be HD. this is for uploading with editing softwares, I dont know if you can upload a 420p video in a 1080p quality to any server without having an HD clip inserted into your upload

All videos from at least 2008 were shot in HD.

They use professional cameras that are used in cinema too. If you ever wonder how can they release blurays of movies from the 60s 80s 90s etc, they were shot on film back then that can hold up to 20 or 30 megapixels. Digital professional cameras for movies have been able to shot in HD for a long time, they didn't use potatoes. Also LoveGame and Paparazzi, Just Dance etc were shot in HD, but not published in HD because there were not platforms in that time and HD wasn't that extended until 2010.

Contrary to popular belief, the video was filmed in HD. I have studied film and photography in college. Videographers and film makers use very high quality cameras that are light years ahead of what a consumer can use. They are expensive and bulky. 1080p has been around for a while in the digital sense and film has been able to be in HD quality for 60+ years. The youtube video was uploaded in 2009 when HD wasn't even available on youtube, so the video was formatted to fit the platform.

Do you remember when old videos on VHS and when movies on tv would show movies there would always be a message  that looked like this?

The Bad Romance music video was formatted to fit youtube and lowered in quality. The full quality version exists in some harddrive in the interscope offices or who ever the film company who edited it was.

There wasn't a lot of HD broadcasting on TV in 2010 not HD filming. Honestly this is a topic that has to stop being brought up, even films from the 80s that were filmed with film are being released in bluray forms (not talking about the remastered ones). When shooting music videos/movies now they use at least 4k cameras because it gives freedom in post-production.

What you say makes sense I suppose

but I somehow doubt that the full quality version exists,

it was probably compressed down

they must have the original uncompressed file, these things are not just deleted

No. The original files are never EVER just thrown away like that.

Every single take of that video exists in a cutting room floor to this day.
