A lie is a lie. Saying SOLD OUT is black or white. It's like saying I QUIT SMOKING. You either did or you didn't. But I can't declare that I QUIT SMOKING if secretly I still smoke a cigarette every morning and night. It's misleading and superficial of me to accept the praise when it's built on the principle of a lie.

Excuse me? No need to bring up ARTPOP, Gaga has nothing to do with this mess. This thread is about Anticlimax, and how Rihanna's team has lied about being sold out. Please keep your posts relevant.

Okay? Just don't see why people are so angry about it, like is it that deep?  No one is trying to maintain that it was sold out...

Side note it's pretty common for promoters and artists to report shows as 'sold out' just to create a good image, even when it clearly wasn't. Even Gaga has played shows in arenas that have a 20k+ capacity but only drawn a crowd of less than 10k and they reported it as full. A conversation on here the other day led me to look at Demi Lovato's past tour receipts and they reported the box office scores to make it look like they were sold out or nearly sold out in massive arenas like Staples Center, when she was only pulling audiences in the region of 4-9k... I vaguely recall the same thing happening on Kanye's 2013 tour when it was well publicised that some of the shows were struggling, yet the box office scores said it was sold out. lol etc etc

Yes Rihanna "lied" (even though I never tried to say that she didn't ) but making it into a big deal when this happens all the time, even with our fave, is kinda over-dramatic. That's all I'm saying.

It was honestly amazing though. She kept smiling the entire time and we made her mess up Umbrella bc the entire arena sang along throughout the show. She was so full of happiness, all tea no shade, and I'm an insanely obsessive little monster, the only concert that beat it for me was The Monster Ball. It was light years better than the artRave. And I'm not an ANTI fan, but live it blew me away!

Ok I will let you know. Five weeks after Rihanna's release she is at 600,000 worldwide sold with a hit song. If she continues at that pace it shouldn't be long before it gets to 2.5 million shipments. She currently has the number three song worldwide and the number 7 album world wide adding another 47,000 albums WW to her total.

Actually, you quoted me and I only discussed ARTPOP because some Rihanna superstan was calling it a flop, while somehow thinking that Anti wasn't one. He was the one who brought ARTPOP into a thread that had nothing to do with the album or with Gaga, but that is pretty typical for him.
