What do you guys think about their comment?

PunkTheFunk 124,469
"Yeah sure. She basically co-opted the entire LGBT rights movement (at a time when it was the hot button, socially acceptable topic to pander to) to build an entire career on, pandering to the pink dollar as "bisexual" (as /u/grtwhtgrvty said, her only real references to being bisexual have been in her music, saying she fantasizes about sleeping with women while she's with her boyfriend. She's also referred to herself as straight during gay pride month), and 'campaigning' for gay rights at no cost to herself, and appealing to the worst in the most vulnerable - perpetual victim-hood. All the while completely ripping off and cheapening the entire bodies of work of REAL gay icons like Madonna, Bowie, Cher, Grace Jones, etc." #BuyCheekToCheekOnITunes
Robo Ga 15,299
Gaga is undeniably a gay icon. Anyone who says otherwise literally doesn't understand pop culture. The lyrics of Born This Way - and the fact that it went #1 - changed the game for LGBT visibility in pop music. That's only one small example of all the things she's done for us. It is really disrespectful and ignorant for anyone to say she "uses" the gay community. Especially people on this site who say it. 🤖⚡️

Lumi 3,512
Well... sometimes people can't seem to understand that Gaga can't do the same Bowie or Cher did because we are not living in the 70's anymore. Other than that I think that Gaga took a real risk when she released BTW. I mean if the BTW hadn't gotten any impact then she wouldn't have been banned from those asian countries for spreading her "satanic" point of view. She made LGBT+ youth feel better about themselves in countries you probably can't remember they exist. Lastly, she doesn't need to prove anyone she's bisexual. I've never had a boyfriend, am I a fake gay? underneath the pine

Nino 12
When somebody's gone out of their way to distance htemself from being a gay icon yet is still widely considered one, it's safe to say they are.
