Do you so readily dismiss the effects the historical expansions of the Islamic Caliphates on the current expansionist ideologies of ISIS? Aren't they dreaming of becoming another Caliphate of the likes of Harun Al Rashid etc..? The fact is that these are Muslims that are justifying themselves in some way that is not unique in history. It's up to the Muslims who are not terrorists to guide their followers onto the proper peaceful path. Therefore dismissing these terrorists as not being Muslim is ultimately incredibly disillusioned and irresponsible. They did not come from nowhere. "True" Muslims need to accept that and do what they can to combat this, not shy away from it. agree!

The problem in Belgium started many decades ago ... Most of the time we had a left-wing government and they were "pro-multiculturalism" and when something happened they didn't want to see the reality and they were all the time neglecting the problems.. Now, so many years later, it all escalated, more specific in the area around Brussels, and now we can't stop the problems... I also want more border controls.. There is a whole neighbourhoud, probably a whole small town, who knew the brain of the terrorist attacks in Paris was hidden in that town.. They helped him, they didn't call the police.. When he got arrested, a lot of youth (and I'm sorry to say, but they were Muslim, but I really wanna make my point clear that I'm not against Muslims) started to throw rocks at the police, started to throw stones through the cars.. Today the same thing happened, some young guys (around 16-20) started to revolt against the police who were at the airport.. It's just a fact that right that we now have some problems that could have been avoided.. Well I understand. I just think it's important to make the distinction so they won't be victims of retaliation when they had nothing to do with this situation. I know how that feels.. The entire thing is just complicated and sad. It's science, bitch

I would like to know what do you think about my opinion, I feel that one of the cases is that everyone is refusing to accept that right now there is a problem with the Muslim community in Europe that needs to be solved, a big clash of differences like culture and education that causing more Muslims to join ISIS. but it seems like as long as nobody, Muslims and not Muslims, is saying "hey there is a problem" nothing will be solved. I feel that the main reason of not Muslim is the fear of being called Islamophobic and of Muslims is more like not to betray my brothers and a little bit denial of the reality, do you think I'm correct? I would be happy to hear what you have to say and to learn more So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I would be happy to hear what you have to say and to learn more The Muslim community in Europe is in a very tenuous position right now due to the refugees and immigrants. You're right that the culture shocks on both sides are leading to distrust and mental health issues that are ultimately driving both sides to aggression. You're totally right. I have little to add, except that most non-Muslims aren't afraid of being tagged as Islamophobes. It's more likely that they simply do not care to begin with and would rather preserve the status quo rather than adopt multiculturalism. Merkel has a point in that enforcing multiculturalism is a grand delusion and it only works if the multiple cultures are more or less sync'ed in terms of major issues. Islamic culture is fundamentally different than European ones, and given that it is the Muslims that are immigrating to European countries, it's only fair to ask the Muslims to concede and integrate. Most do not want to do that, so there will be schisms. Naturally, many choose to join ISIS. I think it's up to the Muslim communities in Europe to integrate into the secular society and live the same way that Christians do. It's a big shift, but it's necessary, no different than American immigrants being forced to live by the rules when they first moved to the USA (such as learning English, following the laws, etc.. ) It's not Islamophobia. It's simply Europeans wanting to preserve their way of life. If the refugees want to remain there, they need to adapt. That includes "betraying" their brothers in the name of peace. It's not betrayal when their fellow Muslims' actions are leading to trouble for everyone. That's where Muslim responsibility should be upheld, and that's why I find it troublesome that people want to disassociate the terrorists from Islam. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.
