Fan at Madonna Rebel heart Tour show in Brisbane speaks about ‘flashing’ incident

 

THE Madonna fan whose breast was exposed in front of thousands of fans at Thursday night’s Rebel Heart Tour Brisbane concert wants the world to know her “boob is not a big deal”.

 

Gold Coast girl Josephine Georgiou, 17, said she was shocked by the worldwide attention the clip of Madonna pulling her leather corset loose had gained and was quick to defend the star’s actions, saying it was a simple wardrobe malfunction.

“Only I get to decide if I’m humiliated or not – why would people assume I am humiliated by my own breast, nipple or body?,” Georgiou said.

“I didn’t realise my boob was such a big deal - it was nothing to me.

“It’s hilarious to me how much of a big deal it is to everyone – people just need to understand I was on stage in front of Madonna, I was looking her in eyes and most people would just melt into a pool on stage, so it was only because I was standing in front of her that I looked so surprised.”

The full-time barista and aspiring model and actress denied claims she was a plant and said she was plucked from the crowd at random after arriving at Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

“I actually couldn’t afford to go but I managed to scrape some money together at the last minute and my friend and I had the worst tickets – the $99 kind at the very top near the side of the stage – and we were running about five minutes late, arriving part-way through her first song, and the man at the gate said to my friend ‘These tickets are s--t but these tickets are really good because these are $500 tickets so have fun’ and just swapped them,” she said.

“We were standing right at the front near the runway - it was incredible.

“Madonna had kind of noticed me and I thought she smiled at me while she was performing.

“Then, she talked to two guys at the side of stage and I thought I was imagining things but a lady came down and asked if I danced and if I knew the song Unapologetic B—ch.

“I said ‘f--k yeah’ and she asked ‘would you like to get up on stage?’ and I was like ‘Oh my God, yes’.”

 

She said she had been unaware of a competition run by Madonna to join her on stage until fellow fans at the show quizzed her about how she was chosen.

 

Once Georgiou was on stage, Madonna said to the crowd: “She’s the kind of girl you just want to slap… On the a--… and pull,” before the top sprung loose to expose one of her breasts.

“Oh s--t, oh sorry, sexual harassment,” Madonna said.

“You can do the same to me…”

Georgiou said suggestions she should sue the superstar were “the most ridiculous thing” she had ever heard.

“Seriously, why would I sue Madonna for the best moment of life?,” she said.

“It was the best night.”

“She was calling me a Victoria’s Secret model the whole time I was on stage, which is so flattering.”

Georgiou said her mum, Toni, was far from upset to hear her daughter’s breast had been exposed to thousands of people.

“The corset I was wearing was actually my mum’s,” she said.

“She even posted a Facebook status saying ‘So Madonna just spanked my daughter! So proud’.”

The Thursday night show was an improvement on the Material Girl’s first Brisbane performance of her Rebel Heart Tour on Wednesday night, which saw her kick off more than two hours late at 11.20pm.
